I think everyone at some time or another has had a paper cut as it's pretty much expected .... are you saying that it's expected to be cut by a lid in Mcdonalds too?? Because that would be a bit of a silly thing to say wouldn't it?

And maybe if I were trying to get some money or compensation out of them then I would have kept the lid but as I'm not it was gladly put in the bin!

I don't expect to be cut by paper. The purpose of paper is not to cut. But I agree it occasionally does. Thin plastic I suggest is similar.

Supplying the lid to them for examination would help to prove a fault or just indicate an occasional accident like a paper cut?

TBH I wouldn't bother listening to the advice you got at the store OP, it's hardly worth it.... Unless you want a generic apology and a good chance of receiving a £5 or £10 McD's voucher, which is what they used to send out many years back for customer complaints.

I think there is a number of posters in this tread that could do with a Happy Meal.

OP if you haven't already found the e-mail address then do a google seach.

What do you propose McDonald's do to ensure such catastrophic incidents don't happen again whilst ensuring a lid is firmly in place to stop the hot contents scolding you?

Maybe they should have a warning on the lid 'lid may be sharp' in the same way the cup says 'contents may be hot'.

They could always use sachets of sugar rather then a jar of sugar.

Mcdonalds complaint need email is what you titled the thread. Maybe you should change it if you are not complaining.

You mean the original post entitled "Mcdonalds complaint need email"?

Just because you were advised to doesn't mean you have to! Forget it and get on with your life.
