I would expect that warning to be written on the jeans. A consumer these days has no personal responsibility........This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Ok, just to clarify - I was told by the manager to email them but not given the email address and no I didn't think to ask for it there and then because I actually just wanted to take my latte out of their restaurant with my big blue plaster on my big throbbing finger and just get on with my day.
No my finger hasn't fallen off but yes it does bloody hurt even now! And NO I havn't even mentioned anything to do with the dreaded "C" word because until I read some of your ridiculous replies I hadn't even thought of it.
At the end of the day that sharp plastic lid that was protecting me from the "hot contents scolding me" cut me and I'd like them to know that so they can maybe revise the type of lids they use if they've had the same happen to others. And again NO the lid wasn't split which gives even more concern as to it happening many many more times to many many more people in the future!
Jeeeez, get off your high horse and stop tarring everyone with the same brush - maybe next time I won't bother asking for help on here if this is the type of response I'm going to get!
Thankyou to the non pompous people who actually bothered to give me a sensible response.0 -
Did you cut yourself on the mouthpiece?
I cant fatom ow youd cut yourself on te actual lid, but te moutpieces are sarp after you snap the tab0 -
I cut my finger on it upon lifting the lid at the condiments counter to put sugar in it.0

I usually disagree with a lot of sb's posts but every word here is spot on.
Seriously-get a life.Ive had 100s of lattes from Mcds without incidence,I dont need anymore stupid warnings on the cup-I know its hot,so I dont juggle with it etc etc,the lid works fine for me so move on with your life.Went shoplifting at the Disneystore today.

Well I'm really please that the lid works fine for you but it actually cut me - and I havn't said that I'm complaining to Mcdonalds about it just making them aware - just because the same hasn't happened to you doesn't mean it hasn't happened to lots of other people.....so just because you havn't been for instance knocked down by a truck does that mean nobody else has???
What you say doesn't make sense??0 -

So let me get this right, because I can drive and I'm an adult I'm not allowed to get cut by a plastic lid or email Mcdonalds about it and I shouldn't be in charge of a child because of this.
My god - you really have lost the plot!0 -

I havent been knocked down by a truck because Im not stupid enough to step in the road when ones coming,Im also not stupid enough to bite straight into a hot apple pie,yet everything like this has got a stupid warning on it because people complain instead of using common sense.
People like you are the reason it says "may contain nuts" on a packet of nuts.Went shoplifting at the Disneystore today.

Oh ok, so now people only get knocked down out of their own stupidity. And you're saying that in fact it is to be expected to get cut by a lid in Mcdonalds - wow how silly of me! I'm sure if that's the case they would state this in their t&c's for the "people like me" instead of putting warnings on things!
Or maybe if I had used my "common sense" I would have purchased some kind of tool or gadget which enables me to open the cup without actually touching it.
How very condescending you are! Grow up!0
