Wont someone think of the children....

Little fingers I doubt would be drinking lattes.

this must be the brightest of the bunch... kids drinking from a cup with a lid at McD. Very unlikely innit? :D

You've obviously never been in Mcds and have no idea what you've been commenting on-hot drinks have completely different lids to cold ones.

OP...Escalate and complain via email to the CEO, McDonalds UK. I think;) that her first name is Jill. I suggest you wait 3 working days for a response.

To find the email address, I suggest you do a google search with 'ceoemail macdonald' and see what you get back. If you are lucky;), select the 1st entry that is displayed and then do a search for mcdonalds and see what you get.;)

    Good luck and HTHs.

You are seriously kidding me....a) its not a complaint, b) she hasn't emailed yet to escalate and c) I take it you have been told not to give emails out anymore?

Find the customer service email OP and point it out but remember unless they get a fair few complaints they are unlikely to change the lid because they must sell tens of thousands a day, millions a year and if they get less than 0.0001% (made up stat but u get the point) they are unlikely to do anything bar maybe give you a voucher

tbh it sounds as if the manager was passing the buck to HO ....by telling the OP to email a complaint, he doesn't have to listen to a whinging customer.

I remember a colleague going home sick because she'd cut her finger on a piece of paper. I can't help thinking this thread is just as ridiculous. Accidents happen. Someone isn't always to blame. Processes don't always need to change. Incidents don't always need investigating.

What's wrong with just thinking 'I must be a bit more careful in future' and getting on with your life? What happened to a bit of stoicism, fgs?

You're assuming that she didn't ask the manager how she made a complaint....

I'm assuming that your b**ls are made of meat, not crystal....and I'm also assuming that you have b*lls. To assume makes an !!! out of u and me

Was the lid split? If the lid was split then I suppose you have cause for complaint, but don't be expecting millions of dollars

and you are assuming that she did...
