Hi Lee, I have noticed your comment on this thread to a very similar experience I am having now! Unfortunately I've recently had my mortgage refused due to a default on my credit report from Vodafone... I have been in contact with Vodafone customer services many of times and mostly had a bad experience due to lack of communication between advisors at different centres across the world! I've also contacted credit relations department via email but am yet to get a reply. So I'm wondering if would be able to help me with this problem that is causing me much stress at the moment!
Thanks

Hello Lee,
I have a similar problem and noticed you were very useful. I need your help.
I was a customer of Vodafone from 2011 until 2014-end. I have always made my payments in time. At the end of 2014, i decided to terminate early my contract with Vodafone. I paid the Early Termination fee in December 2014 and was told that the account was closed, the amount was GBP145.93. I then used the PAC number to move to another provider.
I found out today via Equifax that i had defaulted on a debt from Vodafone amounting 42.52 GBP. I went on the Online Chat and your colleague from Vodafone said i had an extra GBP42.52 left on my account to pay. I have never been contacted for this. The reason he said is that the 'ETF was taken earlier and i have been credited with that amount and this credit amount which was taken mistakenly was credited again into your final bill and adjusted with early cancellation fees'. But because i have terminate my contract then the direct debit was not working anymore and they couldnt take the amount from my account and never got in touch with me re that.
I have made the payment today, after discovering this thing via your Credit Report. My payment authorisation number is 007568. I need this Default to be taken off asap, i cannot buy the house i wanted because of this. Please help me...0 -
Follow the instructions to contact him, otherwise he can't help. They are plastered all over this and many other threads, including the preceeding post.0

They must have a problem with it again. I just tried and can't find a way past at present. Hopefully the WRT will pick this up shortly and get it fixed. Let's hope they don't (like their system) become afflicted by the number of complaints they get (seem to be competing with migrants/refugees in terms of volume).0

Hmmm seems to be working for me - the link in Lee's post above (#134) seems to point to a page on the MSE forum...
Try just clicking on this instead: http://vdfn.co/1d98zmW0 -
