Evening Peeps,
Just a qiuck update - needed to buy sugar & marg and a a few YS items went into basket so need to add another £5.35 to sig.
After my rant the other day regarding 2 packs of bacon being put through at the higher price at Mr Ms last week, I decided to fill in the supermarket website comment forms and just told them how unhappy I have felt recently with regards to slack service, bad meat that I had to throw out and the milk I had returned that smelt burnt (with promise to check it out) anyway a nice polite email has been returned with promise to re-open the case regarding the milk and they are sending a voucher due to any inconvenience caused.
Didn't expect a voucher, was just niffed at the time ,so nice surprise.
Although am still a bit peeved off with my local Mr Ms ,as I found one of their family trollies dumped down a busy country lane yesterday where I live(store about 2 miles away)right on a blind bend. Rang the store in the morning ,young lad promised to get it sorted....still there late last night so brought it home as it was more on road than ever, rang again, lovely lady thanked me and promised it would be collected today.
Guess what? It's still in my yard.:(Crazy Clothes Challenge 2012 £57.20/£100,CCC 2013 £68.67/£100 ,CCC 2014 £94.32/£100

Thanks Mrs Addicted to Spending! I'm looking forward to starting my new challenge! Confirmed today I start on 13th August - finish at current place on 10th so perfect and no gaps!
partner - glad you enjoyed the chowder... I can't see why you couldn't freeze it - just make sure the veggies are covered in liquid or they might go a bit yucky!

I still can't find the link for the greens creme caramel voucher! I feel so left out - I want it!!!! Can anyone help?!
NSD today. We were supposed to go out for dinner with a friend who is on a big downer at the mo, to cheer her up a bit, but she had forgotten and made other plans, so we came home and I cooked spag bol. I usually split a 500g of mince into 4, and each quarter can do us two meals for the three of us (if bulked out), butt oday I thought I'd do the whole lot and see what's what. Didn't bulk out too much - put in two finely chopped mushrooms and a finely chopped onion - my ch don't like them, but eat them if they don't know til after they are in it!! Anyway, and a jar of bol sauce. The three of us had a massive portion (for us), and there's easily enough to do two more meals each, from £1.56 worth of mince, and I enjoyed it more today, as it was more meaty, so I think I'll be doing that more from now on.
We'll be having more of it tomorrow, then sausage casserole on Thurs and poss Fri.
No spending necessary until at least Monday, but need to get a teacher present before Friday. That's not food though, so doesn't count here!
Night all,

Best go off to bed now, as I haven't made lunchboxes, so will need to do that in the morning. Had a friend round who lost her grandma yest, so some things are more important...

My budget is at £320.60/£320 but it finishes on Sat and I only have to buy natural yoghurt at 55p til then so it won't be too much over!
Although technically my new budget starts on Sat, in fact we don't get paid until Wed so will need to eek out the food we have as best we can until then. I'm thinking chilli on Sat as we have ingreds for that, Flo's sausage pie on Sunday (just need sausages but they're cheap) and tuna pasta bake on Monday. We're away Tues night but have holiday money for that. Then when we get back we'll have been paid so I can go to L!dl and stock up again. Hopefully this means that I'll be able to manage on the couple of £ I have left in my purse until then - any over will go on our overdraft
so minimising that is the order of the day.

Wow it quiet on here this morning!
Hope everyone is ok
Had a little shop in MrT last night, just fruits, ham and couple of top up bits. I'm so excited that my sister has rung and there's an offer on steak mince in her work so is bringing me someI hadn't planned dinner for tonight. Normally the kids suggest something so will make a spagbol when she's here. Is it sad I'm so excited by cheap mince?
Will update sig later when I locate my receipt, think it was just over £7.
Hope everyone has a good day:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j

Hi everyone,
Budget is taking a bit of a hammering as we have an unexpected houseguest this week, who is veggie. Not so much of a problem, except that I manage to burn the quorn burgers I 'found' in the freezer last night, so DH had to go on a mercy mission and our local, small c00p doesn't do quorn, so had to buy pizza instead.
Have just been to M&$ to buy the teachers a bottle of wine each and picked up a veggie lasagna for tonight. We will have DR pork chops. I am helping overnight at a sleepover for my DD's year group (120 children ) so I am busy getting myself sorted/geared up for that. I am on the 2am slot (til when I don't know....) so doubt I will sleep at all.
