Re: lunches/supermarkets, pack your own lunch but decide on one item you will buy in the shop when you use the loo (and set a maximum amount) this could be a magazine, cold drink (this is me 'cos I hate luke warm drinks), cookie from the bakery, item you NEED at home like toothpaste etc. That way you stay in control.

Howdy. Just about to hit the sack.

We had the spagbol for dinner today. We had tea at the inlaws: chops, chips n peas! (Chips were cooked in lard:eek: )

Tomorrow will be something with chicken as at is what is defrosting in the fridge: pack of value mixed thighs n drumsticks whoopsied at 39p!:T

Maybe sticky chicken, rice n salad or something similar?

Need to pick more raspberries tomorrow. We have had them most days, whizzed into a milkshake or smoothie. They tend to go past ripeness quickly if unpicked though. I will have so many more next year as the bushes are growing out of control:T

    Hope all are well.

    JJ :)

Asd@ smartprice mince. I've never minded the flavour of it - had it all the way through uni as couldn't afford anything else, and just stuck. I refuse to buy the dr mince, as it might convert me!!

Yeah, it does. I do prefer the smaller packs though, as I know that we can have a meal from a quarter of a pack which is easy to cut! 125s into 800 anyone?!!!

We went shopping today, although it wasn't really planned, as we had three more teachers to buy for... Got chocs and wine. As a teacher myself, it's really hard to buy for them, so I just got them some of the chocs they always eat...

We also bought peas in pods, two pepperamis, two tubs of soft cheese, and two packs of dried mango. Nothing much in the rtc section, do didn't get anything. I seem to be doing ok at using up at the moment; just need to keep that up through totm, which may be next week when the children are at their dad's so it will be easy for me to go out and shop

Had my first ever filling today. I am needle-phobic. I had tears pouring down my face going into my ears while he did the injection, nearly had a panic attack my breathing got so bad, and gripped the arms of the chair so hard I may have broken them! In the end, the nurse started stroking my arm - this always seems to happen to me when needles are involved! I went back to work after, to pick up the children, and asked the school secretary for a hug, as I have no-one at home! The cutest thing was, one of the girls in my class saw that I was a bit nervous, and gave me advice (she's 7!), and then told me I'd get a sticker afterwards!! I made sure I asked for one, so I can tell her she helped me!

I know that had nothing to do with the gc, but had to say it.

Second helping of spag bol today, and there will be enough left for the three of us, and then me again, so will freeze that tom. We have saus cass for dinner tom, making a bit of space in freezer. Made some rhubarb and ginger jam tonight while I was making the packed lunches for tom; looking forward to a) trying the jam tom, and b) not making packed lunches for a while!! Roll on Friday afternoon - can't wait to spend more time with the children over the hols.

    Night all,

Lidl have sacks of basmati rice - 11kg for £10.99; looks like curry for us for the foreseeable and 2nd purse low again now after using stockpile stuff over the last week. I've a suspicion that I'm just using 2nd purse as a justification to hoard:rotfl:

After thinking today would be a nsd, I have come downstairs to the unmistakable aroma of cat poo in the dining room. Suspect the ginger tom that's trying to claim the house from my cat is responsible, so need to go and get cat littler and a tray, so I can lock my cat in the house at night.:mad:

Now I've done all of the food touching for this morning, I shall go and clean it up, and try not to vom in the process! Animals!

Have a great day everyone. I can't wait for tomorrow, as it's the last day of term for us! Summer hols, here we come - woop woop! (And, I said on my dfd, that I claimed for 91 hours of overtime, which will be paid on 23rd Aug, just before we go away!:j)

A £48.45 spend here today but I am putting it on Augusts budget as it was all the toilet rolls that are on special at Lidl. I'll stretch next months budget a bit to allow for it.

Left over YS stirfry will be made in to duck wraps for dinner tonight.

I hope everyone has a low or no spend day x

Hi everyone - I survived the sleepover :D

Can't say it's the best night I've ever had - was up from 1am-3am patrolling the tents and supervising girls going to the loo (yes really). Then up again at 6.30am as the 5am-7am shift were making the sarnies for breakfast and talking REALLY LOUDLY.

Had a migraine all night which made me want to vom, so feeling quite sorry for myself. I do have to go to MrT later as I need veg for tonight's tea (fish pie). Our veggie houseguest went out for tea last night so his lasagne is still waiting for him in the fridge ;) I have so far managed a banana and a can of pep$i max to settle my stomach. Will try having a cheese roll in a bit.

Sorry for rambling - hadn't seen that time of day since the children were babies :o
