I am a bit late but how about tuna fishcakes, served with baked beans? or jacket pots, cooked, the middles scooped out and then mashed and mixed with ham, spring onions and the egg, put back in the skins and bake for a bit longer to crisp them up.0 -
Just made this. It's yummy.
But does anyone know if I can freeze it please.
I tend to make batches of soups and freeze for eldest son to take to work for lunch.0 -

£1.08 spent on 2 big cups of tea at work and £15 on diesel to last the week.
I made chicken stuffed with goats cheese and basil (off my windowsill:)), carrots and broccoli and some garlic mini roasties for tea tonight and it was lovely. The roasties were some new pots that had been in the bottom of the fridge for ages cut up small and roasted with some garlic butter I bought last week.
While I was cooking tea I made some GF museli and some fruit salad for lunches tomorrow and Thursday. The museli was all from the store cupboard and will stop me buying expensive GF cereal this week.

Just popping by to catch up with the thread. Haven't the heart to update my total but let's just say that if for some reason we're housebound for the next few weeks, we have enough food too keep us going! Have been stocking up due to the dreaded school hols, I hate taking the kids to the SM.
Kids had an interesting tea, took some bolognaise sauce out of the freezer, cooked up some pasta, went to heat up the sauce only to find it was lentil soup! Added a generous squirt of Tom ketchup and some grated cheese and they didn't even notice :rotfl::rotfl:.
DH and I are having chilli, for the next week or so probably as I have rather overdone it. Still, it'll freeze nicely!
PennyGrabber loved your post. Hats off to you for keeping to that budget. DD is having a friend over tomorrow and they are also having HM pizza. Cheap as chips to make so how come they cost so much to buy?
Jumble jack, I also managed to nab some 'wild' (ok growing thru fence) raspberries today, yellow ones. They improved the dog walk no end.:)Make £2020 in 2020 £178.81/£2020
