baked bananas. YUM
Put a couple of tbspoons of water and a couple of honey together with some cinnamon, mixed spice, throw in some raisins or what ever you have.
Bake. Enjoy. Lovely on their own or with yoghurt , or ice cream etc . Good luck.A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

Excess bananas can mean only one thing... pudding! This is the easiest most thrown together recipe ever.
Get a frying pan over a medium heat with a knob of butter in it (about the same amount of butter as you'd use for scrambled eggs).. When its foaming, throw in a couple of bananas that have been peeled and sliced in half lengthways, and follow those in with about a teaspoon of brown sugar for each half (any type will do). Cook for about a minute or until just starting to brown and then turn over and cook for another minute (you just want to heat through rather than cook).
If your feeling a bit 'rahhhhhhh' and want to show off, cook for slightly less time and splash in a glug or two of rum and tilt the side edge of the pan into the flames (assuming you have gas) for some flambe! action! Transfer to a bowl and serve as soon as flames die out.
Nice with icecream or cream.
PS. Dont cook for too long or they will go mushy and thats not nice.SIMPLE SIMON - Met a pie man going to the fair. Said Simple Simon to the pie man, "What have you got there?" Said the pie man unto Simon, "Pies, you simpleton!"0 -
Hi mrs miser,
As paulie's girl has said there is an earlier thread on using up bananas that should give you lots of ideas so I've added your threads to it to keep the suggestions together.

However today Mr T delived my shopping and insted of 6 bananas I had ordered 6 packs of 6!!!!! That banana pud on the sainsbury's ad looks really nice. Sliced bananas in bottom of a pie dish topped with triangles of bread spread with jam, then custard poured over the top and baked in the oven.Debt busting! Jan 2014 £7632.50 £7445.80

Hi there
Bananas freeze really well.... if you're going to use them for cooking or smoothie making. Peel them and chop them into chunks, stick em in a bag, and whack em in the freezer. That's what I do, and I use them for smoothies straight from the freezer.
