Peel the bananas then freeze them (wrap in cling film or place in freezer bags first if preferred). Yummy banana lollies
After frozen, let it defrost a bit (approx 15-20mins) before eating
Might help if you have a budget or fixed amount that you will spend. Best bet is to go shopping without cards, just cashYes, multi-buys work out cheaper but what's the point when, in the long run, you end up not eating them anyway?

Thanks for the sugestion of banana lollies, that sounds nice, but i dont know with my teeth if i would enjoy them as i suffer from tooth ache with cold food. I remember making banana bread as a child with my gran and enjoyed it back then, so i might try that again! Thanks.0

You can't store bananas in the fridge because they go black, but you can freeze them successfully. Just found this recipe.Frozen Banana's
Use a whole ripe banana to make a tasty frozen lolly. Peel the banana and wrap in cling film. Place in the freezer for several hours. Help yourself when wanted and for a tasty treat dip in low fat yoghurt or fruit juice.

I always freeze sliced banana's then they are ready for the smoothies that my family love. They only go black if you freeze them in their skins.
You could use the yogurts for a smoothie. Use apple juice, yogurt, frozen sliced banana and some frozen stawberries if you have any. Blend together and there you have a really nutrious drink!0
