Sold a car, air con stopped working, buyer complaints

I'll use it on recirc to demist the windows. That's about it.0

After a little google research I now understand that the air will cool quicker on recirc as long as the air inside the car isnt hotter than outside (which it maybe in the summer) and that the air will get colder I guess its obvious really just never thought about it, other than that it isnt a problem and probably better for you (more oxygen) to have it on the external intake
You live and learn eh? Air con works like a fridge does... you wouldn't leave the door open, would you?
Like I said, maybe the buyer hasn't 'thought about it' either and isn't using it correctly. Mind you, I would of thought that the OP would of pointed this out.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0 -

No I wouldnt leave the fridge open just as I wouldnt leave the car window open, but my question was about the air source, and after googling found it doesnt really matter.
I still find it hard to believe somone would do a long journey with aircon on recirc all the time0 -
This topic typifies what is wrong with MSE, too many posters so far up there own exhaust and simply cannot except when someone else has a valid point of view, OP. apologies on my behalf and hopefully from the majority of MSE's.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

I may be totally and utterly wrong ............. and if I am I apologise
BUt that advert is too much like a dealers / traders advert ,
too much information e.g Nighthawk black metallic ........... most people would say black ,fully adjustable front seats ? every car has that ,Low car tax band most people would say cheap car tax
sure you aren't a trader ? if not you know how to describe a car like a dealer
If I'm wrong I apologise again
Now I wait to be hung drawn and quartered0 -
Umm, lots of car enthusiasts know the exact names for the colours their car came in. My old Subaru was "Violet-Blue Mica" for example.
Current car is listed as just "black" but I really want to get it resprayed to "Midnight Purple" at some point.0 -
They took it to kwik-fit who stated there was still plenty of gas in the system.
I wouldnt trust Kwik Fit. I used to have a 57 plate Civic as a company car and when its aircon stopped working it was sent to Kwik fit 3 times. Each time they could find nothing wrong with it. Eventually it was sent to Honda where it was something wrong with the clutch on the compressor.0 -

The car was not as described IMO. It was stated the car had AC and that it was in "great condition". I don't think the second claim can be substantiated as it seems the car has at least 1 significant fault. Whether or not that fault was present at the time of sale is anyone's guess and I suspect this point will be quite hard to prove.
Basically I wouldn't like to bet on which way this might go if it went to the small claims court. I think the OP needs to take some proper legal advice on this.0
