Thanks all, yes it is my birthday and its been great fun, much quieter than usual but fun never the less.

GF, I will write to your prob Thursday now as working all day tomorrow :o

    Beanie :kisses3: naughty lady!

Hok3y, thanks... Now go off and spend some time with your son :D

Toots, thanks whatever I decide I really want a new job. I am unsure if thats in care or whatever I just need to move on. I have seen quite a good job advertised so will shoot off an application. There is nursing and one other avenue I might want to enter... I had never thought about this before my current teacher and someone in work mentioned it. It requires another course though thats approx £2k so it will be a 2015 thing. Time to think and mull over my decisions until maths is done and dusted :T

    Skinty, thanks :j

Today I recieved some amazing gifts... A calander (opened early - naughty Pap), a book from my Amazon wishlist that no one knew I had 'wished' for (my list is private), a fancy pen, a CD, some mini figures, a writing set and another retro console (one I already own) and 2 games. I also recieved quite a bit of money, a voucher, coffee vouchers and a scratch card. Totally spoilt!

I did go on a spend spree too but actually looking back I was quite reserved... Coffee and crossiants for b/fast, a DVD and 2 games, pens for work, nail files, underwear, thankyou cards, a new candle burner, a nightie for Mum (reduced), car air freshner and some beauty bits. I also got some items for my shoe boxes, but they were from my 'needed' list, this included crayons, pencil crayons and face cloths.

We also ended up on the pier but because of some 'function' they are doing tonight the things I was going to do were closed :rotfl: So went to normal arcades instead and put approx £5 in 2p machines. But being a dope I didn't realise these machines also gave out tickets which you cash in for prizes. So with all the tickets I won and prizes that I pushed out for the shoe boxes I have 2* doll sets, crayons, a whistle and two little figures. For me I got a mini figure and my sister won me a keyring of my star sign.

And I came home with a lot money unused £35, it was actually a huge unexpected gift so I have decided to order myself a memory foam topper for my bed. I have been looking at one for a while now because although my mattress was expensive when I purchased it 3 years ago its a bit lack luster now and to be honest really uncomfy. So thats my big gift, and very practical :j

Have a fab new year all :T Hope 2014 is all you imagine/want it to be _party_

  • :D Knew you all would!

So decided to give work one last chance, only if it buys me time to know what I actually want to do in Sep. At the moment I am just going to keep my head down and keep quite! I have also decided to do a yearly spread sheet of everything I spend and what income I recieve, it may mean I get some more realisation of what I use my money for. I payed off a huge chunk of my debt on Friday but with all the debits/credits I don't think it made that much of a difference, I guess its the interest etc. However I could/will be debt free in about 6 weeks + an interest payment... Except my car tax of £110 takes up one of those weeks. Still looks good, will prob be 1st/2nd Friday in March but its still good. I then need to open an ISA and start saving seriously (excluding my signature pots) :D

I can't believe that I could be debt free within 3 months

Exciting news on the "soon to be debt free" front. Sounds like you are starting the New Year super organised. Good luck.
