  • Update! :j
Feel much better today than I did last week, at least I can pay my bills next week :j I also managed to change my mobile number for free rather than buying a new sim and losing credit/free credit :j

Hi - I used to be more active and haven't posted really for about 3 years. I remember some of your posts a long time ago and when I came back looked you up. You had the horrible job at M***o and weren't that well either. I was really pleased to see you'd got a new job and seemed happy and moving up in self-esteem and opportunities. I remember you seemed to support a huge network of people with slightly more chaotic finances and years ago was so impressed with your maturity and honesty. You've got a car and independence and pay your own way. Things do change. Some people on here have the odour of a permanent rut - you always had a will get there interesting spark! I genuinely believe you will.
    Best wishes!

yes and with many others it seems.... funny how it seems like no progress sometimes, too slow to notice yourself - like ageing! I was dreading seeing PAP was still slamming trays part time around M***o unappreciated... glad that didn't happen! Sometimes you have those days at work where you achieve nothing and then in two days, months of progress is made... I suspect PAP's progress might be that type of sudden burst! Solid groundwork...
  • Barnaby, I can't tell you how much those posts improved my attitude over the weekend. Yes I have come quite far these past few months and I am so glad I am not still at M. Sometimes I think I give myself a hard time, after all my wage is still quite low. I also seem to want to fix everything and everyone without first thinkin-g of myself. I will keep on going at least I can see light at the end of the tunnel. My favourite saying these past couple of weeks is - I may drive a rust bucket but a lest its all mine and it enables me to work :j One day I will look back at this year and laugh, just got to get through to that day...

I hope you are doing well and have been making some progress :T

    Have a great week all!

  • Thanks SF, I kept thinking glass half empty these past few days I have been thing glass half full :j

So my ink arrived and I ordered the wrong one :rotfl: So my apprenticeship work will have to be in blue, not my chosen choice but I am not paying another £4.xx for postage and I am no way paying £25 for one cartridge, so blue it is :T I do however need to print out an article from the internet so I am thinking about a visit to a libary ;)

Spends this week are filling up with petrol but that should last until next Friday now, fingers crossed. £3.64 on a packet of 'medic powder' and £3.99 on a slow cooker recipie book :D

Wages are in and although they are good I am a little down.

    £367.53 in account tomorrow
    £7.96 lunch with work
    £277.05 bills
    =285.01

82.52 left, thats £40 house keping and £42.52 remining. However this week I am supposed to put asside £50 for my car insurance :o I will see how things go but it maybe that I will have to top up some in the next two weeks

All in all not too bad, now off for a fish supper... Mum's paying :T

I did Em, but I didn't have fish :o Decided on battered sausages instead :D Feeling a lot more positive, I think it helps now because lil bro is home and I am not having to 'please' everyone and I get to spend time with him :T

Ok I calculated my bills wrong they are £10 more :o I changed it on my main list but not on my budgets. So that was £32.52 remaining, I have spent just under £20 on groceries these past few days that should last all week but I apparently have £21.xx left  I have clearly made a boo boo :rotfl: So I am leaving that where is is and will come back to it next Friday. The only thing is I think I will drag my little brother swimming on Thursday so that will be £5 but we can swim for up to 6hrs so its worth the price. So that may reduce to £15, will re-budget on Friday.

    8 payments left :j

P.s, spending all weekend on my apprenticeship work, its free but it doesn't half make your brain ache!

  • Thanks SF it doesn't sound long when you say only 8 payments left :)

NSD's since I last posted, purely because I have no money :rotfl: Petrol is looking a little low but I really don't want to use the payment I have set asside for the credit card. So I am hoping that it lasts until Friday.

Been reading other peoples diarys lately some of them are really inspiring :T
