Oh for Petes sake okay you feel annoyed if you thought first time a multi pack was same size but you know they aren't now so dont buy them if you feel annoyed about it. Plenty of other suppliers out there and there crisps are better. ie Seabrooks for a start. No one is forcing you to buy them.0

People shopping in a busy supermarket environment are buying 99.99999999999999999999% of items "at face value"
Walkers could reduce the weight again - tomorrow - and they would sell millions before anyone noticed - including you!!!!!
common sense? - You are living in a dream if you believe otherwise
More nonsense I suggest. Where do you get that figure from? Or did you just make it up?0 -
MSE probably has a disproprotionate amount of savvy shoppers.
Its fair to say the vast majority of people do not track prices or value with any determination or precision. The retailers all know this and as someone who champions the consumer its a dman shame.
If consumers really were a lot more savvy people like the supermarkets wouldn't be able to price in the way they do (i.e always moving prices up and down with them eventually going up).
Most peopel thesedays are too busy to be going around keeping track of the price/size of every product they buy.0 -
No-one seems to have noticed Hintza's revelation in post #71.
Here is another example of the OP's strange thoughts.
It's possible that even Zandoni may not agree with that.0 -
The simple answer is that Gary Linekar is paid in crisps, they have reduced the multi pack sizes to give them enough crisps to feed Gary0

I never commented on your previous post about the OP's previous threads because it's not relevant to this discussion. I don't understnd why it's necessary to research someone on here when they start a thread.0 -
What reason would there be to make a slightly smaller bag for the multipacks if it wasn't to deceive. They would need lots of special equpment to measure and pack them.
Actually no, honest.
They just need to change the tube and the forming shoulder that the bags are made on, (and the roll of packaging film) - then change the weight that the filling machine dispenses at.
Takes just a few minutes to do and, in fact, is done regularly in many packaging companies who pack different types and sizes of products.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. I'll take it that your obtuse response is your substitute for a suitable explaination
Good idea
Any attempt to explain this under-packing away would make anyone look foolishWhen will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0 -

You are right on all counts - and the law should 'step-up' to prevent unscrupulous companies ("WALKERS") exploiting thisWhen will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0
