The great Walkers swindle

That's a really bizarre (and weak) argument as I've never seen any blurb splashed over a multipack that implies they are "better" than one individual pack. Can you explain what you mean?
It's not bizarre or weak at all, I will repeat again. A multipack is more than one single. So the average person would think that a multipack had 6 x 34.5 grams in them as opposed to the actual amount of 6 x 25 grams.0 -
Yes, but as has been repeated on here again and again..the amount in each packet is clearly labelled and they're not for resale for a reason.
You're only going by a lazy assumption, the manufacturer isn't implying anything. A close look at the g per packet tells you everything you need to know.
Does the lack of a few crisps really matter that much to you? Do you think a multipack is a waste of money/a ripoff?0 -
It would be obvious because it would say GIANT BAG or some other name.
Doritos
Cool Original flavour corn chips
225g e
Plus a nice big picture of a dorito in a dip.
Nothing to indicate this isn't what can be considered a 'standard bag'Competition wins: Where's Wally Goody Bag, Club badge branded football, Nivea for Men Goody Bag0 -
I think the only way to get resolution is to contact Walkers (or any other crisp company) and ask them to put something like a "*Smaller Than Individual Packs" notice on multipacks.
Do think there's much more important things in life to get upset over, though.
If I was really unhappy with a product I'd buy it ONCE and never again.0 -

Well that's a bit of a swindle when you open the bag and find no dip in there.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
..And I've bought many ready meals where the finished product bears little resemblence to the pristine, delicious looking food in the photograph! :cool:0

Strange I thought we was talking about Walkers crisps.
If Walkers crisps don't have any form of labelling to say they are a big bag, in my opinion they should.0 -

I would assume that the labelling 'not for resale' was to prevent shopkeepers opening up multipacks and making more profit.
There are so many other products where multipacks are identical to singles so why shouldn't crisps be the same.0 -
Yes the mutipack per gram maybe a better price than the single pack, but they are implying that it's an even better price.
Lets face it most people wouldn't know the weight of a bag of crisps and they would assume that the multipack was more than one single.
What reason would there be to make a slightly smaller bag for the multipacks if it wasn't to deceive. They would need lots of special equpment to measure and pack them.
Before anyone says it again I have no problem with having a giant bag as it will be labelled that way and it would be obvious.
Quite!......................When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0 -

Even simpler - Force Walkers (and the rest) to pack regular bags (the one people think they are buying) in multi-packs
further more, dont let them advertise this fact and Joe public will get pay back over the next 10-20 years it takes for Joe to notice
walkers have no possible reason to pack short-filled bags in multi-pack other than to rip people off - so do away with them all together is the answerWhen will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0
