In my cupboard I have a bag of crisps containing 225g. I was amazed that, when I bought a multipack, those bags weren't all this size!Competition wins: Where's Wally Goody Bag, Club badge branded football, Nivea for Men Goody Bag0

The word multipack implies they are a pack of more than one single, so they should be the same. The trouble is that manufacturers deliberately set out to deceive.
The trouble is that most people accept this marketing scams and they get away with it.0 -

Sorry Tom, that's just not possible, EVERYONE knows that a 'bag' of crisps is a standard 32g, no if's, no but's, it's a proven fact, a 'pack' of crisps can only be that size.
I suggest you immediatley contact the Fraud Squad to report this heinous crime, even if the 'bag' you were sold did represent good value for money it's patently obvious you have been swindled into believing that buy purchasing a 'bag' of crisps you were taking 32g home.
Won't somebody think of the children, they must be deeply disturbed by this crime being carried out under their very noses (quite literally if they are cheese and onion crisps).Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

Can you explain where the scam is please?
For it to be a scam wouldn't they have to be selling the smaller packs at a higher price per 100g than a single pack, not some 30% cheaper?
You're told on the front of the outer that you're buying 6 x 25g packs, you're getting exactly what you're paying for.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Walkers variety packs can be bought in Poundland (other crisps are available
). How many is in them, maybe someone will enlighten me but I know they do Wotsits in 5 or promo 7 packs usually.
How on earth is that a scam when compared to an individual pack of crisps at 50p or thereabouts?
Maybe you should read through this thread.. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/25411350 -

Yes the mutipack per gram maybe a better price than the single pack, but they are implying that it's an even better price.
Lets face it most people wouldn't know the weight of a bag of crisps and they would assume that the multipack was more than one single.
What reason would there be to make a slightly smaller bag for the multipacks if it wasn't to deceive. They would need lots of special equpment to measure and pack them.
Before anyone says it again I have no problem with having a giant bag as it will be labelled that way and it would be obvious.0 -

Even worse - I tried to buy a bag of crisps yesterday and, once I'd paid, I realised that I hadn't got a single bag for my money - just a monstrosity of a 36g sack with a "10% extra free" sticker. Paid for one bag - didn't get any bags of crisps at all. STOP THE RIP OFF!Competition wins: Where's Wally Goody Bag, Club badge branded football, Nivea for Men Goody Bag0 -

What you're buying is all labelled clearly, and if the price and the product is right (and they're not flounting any laws or ripping people off as implied in the OP), what is there to complain about?
Really....*shakes head*0 -

Who decides what's 'obvious'. There are people who think it's obvious multipack crisps are in smaller bags, but you disagree.
It would be obvious because it would say GIANT BAG or some other name. Multipack implies a pack of more than one single so it's not obvious.0
