  • Regarding slow internet. I guess ovivo had to pick vodaphone probably because that was the only network who were willing to drop their wholesale prices down so low.

or he has pulled in his contacts, the CEO has had a number of positions on and off with Vodafone since 1999

I bet the extra publicity on Daybreak by :money:has made them a little busy?
I ordered one on Friday afternoon and it came this morning. Am up and running fine. Perhaps it is the post rather than them?

The internet speed via data has picked up for me these last couple of weeks.
    It has become very usable

Mine has always been usable to be honest. Speedtests give an awful speed and huge pings but when it actually comes to browsing then it works fine.

I find that using opera classic works fastest. Video streaming, such as youtube, is fairly reliable too.

I started applying for this, then read the T&C, and found this:

9.2No opt-out to receiving targeted marketing messages is available

Now, does that mean that they will make my email and landline number available to every Tom !!!!!! and Harry who asks for it? 'Cos that could be a mixed blessing ...!

I don't follow your train of thought with this ?

The deal is, in order to get the free minutes texts and data you agree to look at the adverts when browsing. It's not a problem as it only takes about 5 seconds before you can click and continue.
Hence you can't opt out because thats how you pay for the service.
You do get emails with offers from them rather like you get from Amazon and KGB etc etc but nothing out of the ordinary so don't understand why you would think they would pass your number on to Tom !!!!!! and Harry ???
It's not just about the money

I'm happy with the service with Ovivo, not call drop outs or loss of internet access. Have been able to browse the internet freely (albeit with the popup ads).

But I'm a very light user of 3G internet. Have super fast fibre at home and work.

Agree fully. Such a daft response by Dalmatina. It's an ad supported network ofcourse they will have something in their terms where you cannot opt out of receiving ads. How at they going to finance the company?

No problem. My partner has used Ovivo on a basic non internet phone for around a year. She receives emails with various promotions (to her registered email address) but nothing on her phone.
