I think that Lidl is great for meat, it's one of the main reasons I go there. I've bought their lamb and pork chops, their fresh beefburgers and even a barbeque rib thing which although lovely, I wouldn't buy again because it's too big for one. I haven't tried the chicken but that's next on my list after reading the comments here.
Like others have said check the pack carefully first but I have found the quality really good and the prices amazing.0 -
i buy their pork loin roast things, they are excellent and much cheaper than tesco/sainsburys (£5 for 1kg as opposed to £8 in tesco, and last week it was two-for-one). we shove them in the rayburn for a few hours then cut off the rind, slap some honey and mustard on then stick it under the grill to crisp up the fat. and that is why i need to go to the gym more.0

The free range chickens are not always available, seem they sell out rapidly and as they do not stock loads maybe delivery is only once a week?
Always worth checking though, I have even bought one reduced by 30% onceEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
HAve had their Chorizo and their Frikadellan ( I think it is Lidl and not Aldi I get them confused we go to both ) both great0

I buy their diced steak for steak pie. I do cook it in the slow cooker however to ensure it is tender however.
I made steak pie using this meat last week for a friend and she loved it...and she is very fussy about her meat!
Its only £1.99 for 400g - even Farmfoods frozen diced steak is £2.49 for 500g.
I also really like their mini chicken breast fillets, but I notice they have gone up in price this week - they were £1.99 but are now £2.59.0 -
I loved the rump steaks that were frozen, they were more like fillet steaks, however they have stopped stocking them in my local one, lamb steaks are delicious, along with the pork and smoked gammon. Haven't tried the chickens but what I have had I can't complain about.
As they say 'One Man's meat is another Man's poison.'0 -

I love these but I wouldn't necessarily confuse them with any recognisable meat;) .0 -
Their frankfurters are good (children love them with pasta) and they cost just over £1, less than half the price of Herta.0
