Hubb, I hope you are doing better than me.
Have just spoken to HMRC again who have 'no further information' and cannot even confirm they have my signed repayment form. They are apparently dealing with refunds dated after my repayment letter went in, but cannot say whether mine is amongst them or if letter has been lost (in which case they keep th emoney against my next 10 years NI I suppose).
Really not sure what else to do now except maybe speak to my MP (who is very good at this sort of thing) to see if he can get any sense out of them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Well get on the phone
Dont get of the phone until you have an answer that isnt a fob of
It really is that simple
Sorry but if i was me, i wouldnt even deal with the phone monkey who took the call
I would escalate it immediately, i would also avoid the main call centre toHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
It's not as easy as that. There is only one phone number and the complaints department is by mail only. The guy who spoke to me gave me his name and extension number. I will give it till the morning and if nothing I will be phoning. I can't understand why money has to take this long to be transferred. I can transfer online money from one bank account to another and it's over in a couple of mins. Why 4 days ?0

No the isnt only one phone number
It is never like that, with complaints being in writing only
You are not thinking outside the box so to speak
What you need to do first of all is to find the main capital one switchboard number then work it out from there:)Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Awful hubb

Really hope you get it back soon - can only imagine how frustrated you feel.
Fingers crossed eh ;-)0 -
Think of the interest they are getting.0

They phoned me and said that because my Capital One account is no longer active they can only authorize payment if they hear from Halifax.
That is preposterous. I can't understand in any way how they feel that is an appropriate part of a process for managing a payment against a closed account.
Just catching up on this thread, hope you've got it back by now!0 -
No, checked this morning and nothing. Surely it should be in by now.0
