Halifax have the worst customer service of all banks.

They only offer the good deals to new customers ,so become some one else's new customer ,when will HBOS realise that they need to maintain their customer base ,suck you in with a eye catching deal, then offer only good deals to new customers.
Ultimately this is all about how they treat customers,no need for the poster to leave if all HBOS 's mortgages had been available, but no !!!some are reserved for sucking in new customers.
Halifax offer the same mortgage deals to new customers as they do existing - I think you are a bit behind with the times
they have done this for a good while now
Also brokers can look after existing halifax mortgage customers - change their product and get the same fee as though they were a new customer
All the same products0 -

They didn't when I had a mortgage with them ,good to hear that they are listening and I appreciate the update ,perhaps a thread by you stating that ,might help others who have Halifax mortgages. To be happy you need to make someone happy.0 -
Insufficient notice was the problem and they lost this customer through not being competitive enough.regularsaver1 wrote: »I don't think this was bad service at all - they informed you that they couldn't offer you any different, and stopped you wasting your time visiting themTo be happy you need to make someone happy.0 -
this happens often with most lenders I'm afraid
if they can't offer them a better deal its better to be upfront about it and that is what they were0 -
