Halifax have the worst customer service of all banks.

1) I never make an appointment to have my haircut.
2)Authorise more people what is the big deal?
3) Just keep it simple ,no problem with a cashier opening an account ,they do it at other banks ,and a back-room boy/girl takes over on the cash desks ,even the manager if need be.
4)If you cannot see me to take my money ,I go some where else ,and you lost out,get the manager out if need be ,customers come first.
5) Yes and they might want to sell you other products or pass you on as you stated.
The appointment helps them process you.
It also helps for staff to go back to basics.
Six staff in front of shop and forty behind.
I think you think there are more staff then you think
you'd book an appointment with dentist then?
It would make more work as every bit of identificatrion keyed and certified by an individual has to be certified
If you key products you are supervised and have monthly observations
cashiers have enough to do, and so do advisers
Till can not be shared by no more than 2 people - so would not work if already been shared that day
If a cashier comes off the till to open an account as you put it, where do they sign on if all advisers are busy with the computers0 -
They certainly under estimated you ,power to the people, this site certainly educates ,explaining how a credit card works to you ,not realising that you will be receiving interest at another bank on their money .techno_geek wrote: »I was treated quite badly by HSBC a few years ago, but Halifax have really taken the biscuit: I went in to open an account (I had an appointment), I was told to wait for the advisor to call me in. I was waiting for 45 minutes with no reassurance that I would be seen shortly, nor any apology when I was finally called in.
The advisor was rude and talked down to me as if I knew nothing! She even explained that, as I was opening a student account, the overdraft woudn't cost me anything because that's what interest-free meant... and then explained what a credit card was!!
I still have the account, as it has a £2k interest-free overdraft that I've got in an IceSave account... as soon as my student days are over, it's bye-bye Halifax!

I would also like to make one point clear, this thread appears to be receiving a back-lash from those who work within HBOS,it appears that they feel that it is a personal representation of them, that is incorrect, the purpose of this thread is to expose the policy makers who have created this profit driven culture. To be happy you need to make someone happy.0

No not at all kenshaz
I don't take it personally
I was explaining why an appointment was a good idea
just as on another post why I was sticking up for branch advisers
all business have a profit driven culture0 -

But not at the detriment of customer service.I like the fact that you stood up against MM,and her delusions of grandeur. To be happy you need to make someone happy.0 -
it wasn't staning up against someone
it was more saying that brokers are not better than branch advisers, and nor the other way round either - all the same
but all saying that we should not make assumptions, like what happened in that post, without the facts0 -
I disagree, you actually got angry, standing for what you believe gets my respect, hanging around the broker table for crumbs does not. Some who post are not sincere, and if the cap fits she can wear it.regularsaver1 wrote: »it wasn't staning up against someone

I'm sorry if I came across as angry
I am passionate about certain things and my opinions, but I did not mean to portray that
I used to get PM's , but no more0 -
I found Halifax the worst, i got a terrible service for a simple question on how could i transfer money from one account to another; in the same bank!8,000 / 10,000 saved. Another 2,000 by April 2011!0
