Not really. On the bright side we now have some idea of what to try next.

i tried to download the audio realtec audio driver fromt he same site but it seemed to come up with an error when i tried to run the setup.exe file (got the blue screen)

Also i only downloaded shockwave so far from filehippo, and just checked a video on youtube which looks better but still not running smoothly? Do i need to install flash player?

shouldn't do, but it will tell you if what you've got is the most up-to-date driver for that particular chipset...it just scans your system and tells you...your choice if you wish to download what drivers it suggests or not :)

Replace Shockwave with Flash Player; I haven't seen anything that used the former in years! :D

So if i just click yes for every driver i should be ok?

But since my comp is so old i doubt there will be a more up to date driver for the display/grahpics card now anyway?

The one i got from tanglefoots download was "motherboard_driver_vga_sis_661fx_651_xp64.exe"

It also gave me the driver for "motherboard_driver_audio_realtec_whql.exe"

whiich i though was the driver for the soundcard but went haywire and gave me a blue screen when i ran setup.exe

The older tech in your machine may not support hardware acceleration, so your CPU is having to do all the work.

That or we're still missing a few drivers. Can you try the one labelled SiS 7012?
