Hi hypno - well done you. I hope you've got an easier day or two ahead.

I've only written five of my pieces but I've done the research for all the rest and will finish it this evening or die in the attempt. They're not really that hard to write but I have such a problem with distractability that it's almost a personality disorder. I spent a lot of this afternoon helping a friend write tie-breakers for competitions - what a waste of time!

Girlracer - Mint paid me back the full amount of charges on receipt of my second letter, up to the point that they reduced them to £12 on the oft advice.

So out of £290 that I claimed, I got £265 without any hassle, so I didn't take it any further (very glad too, given the court hassle I am having over the Barclays Claim!).

I hope you are able to get a reasonable amount out of them soon.

LIH - sorry that your water bill has gone up so much. However, now that you have lost so much weight, you won't need so much water in the shower, and I am sure your costs will go back down soon!

Taxi - a nice glass of wine, yes that is just what I could do with.

Seaxwyn - distractability. I love that word :T

Hey everyone, guess who landed in a helicopter at the ski club this afternoon.....George Michael!!!

Told OH to get a photo.....he has come home with loads of photos of the helicopter, but none of the Man himself! Typical!

  • Hi Hypno

Just catching up on your busy life, glad you got your stuff done, bet you feel so relieved now don't you!

I've heard nothing more from bank re charges despite their promises to send me a letter  Just got a defence served from Cobbetts so looks like I may have to plough on with it, didn't want to, just wanted my charges back but as is life

And :j to George Michael - suppose he can't drive anymore so helicopter it is :rotfl: Shame about the photos though

By the way, I've really got the hang of matched betting, once you've placed the first few bets it sinks it - DH says he cannot compete with the running or MB - talking of which did you go for a run or do any more yoga?

Well done for finishing your stuff though - Aldi Value Milk Chocolate en route ;)

Well, no recording for me today so a chance to catch up with some of the everyday stuff that I need to do.

A new online banking passcode has arrived so I can hopefully get on and deal with the finances  and Pania has kindly sent me a timer so I can do the 15 min housework thing.

OH has got his motorbike back - a new petrol tank was £500 but he managed to get one off ebay for £99 and the guy fitted it for £60 so all in all it wasn't as bad as it could have been, but still £159 that we hadn't budgetted for. Just grateful that he managed to get a tank off ebay. £500 would have been the point where we consider whether it is worth getting the work done!

I still ache from the yoga at the weekend, and haven't done any more since. It is part of my plan to do something about that today. Watch this space!!

I hope everyone has a good day!

It is 8am and already my day is not going to plan.....just had a call from the high school - one of the invigilators is off sick so could I go and help. I said sorry, but I have a client at 10. The reply came back saying "well, even if you can do from 8.15 to 9.45 that would help!!

So mad rush to get self made presentable, don't think giving out pencils dressed in my pjs would have been appropriate!! Now off, and will be thinking of the £15 it will generate for an hour and a half's work.........

Well not a bad day, although very busy. Did a little bit of extra invigilating this morning, money for old rope really! Then managed to stay away from DFW for most of the rest of the day and actually got some work done

Also finally managed to log into online banking, expecting to be presented with a lot of    but actually found there was a little (notice a little!) more than I was expecting, so I may be able to make a small overpayment this month after all :T

Also, I bought a top and skirt a couple of weeks ago, only from Tesco so not too expensive, but I didn't need them really, and finally decided not to cut the tags off and to take them back for a refund - £32 - so I have decided that I will pay that straight off a card too, just as soon as it hits my account.

And got a lovely card from Elanten this morning thanking me for sending her a DVD, really made me smile. So thanks El, set my day off fabulously :D

So my positive mood from the weekend is generally continuing......long may it last!

Bit narked, because today I was asked if I could invigilate exams from 9am to 4pm. No problem, and a reasonable amount of cash to be earned.

Arrived at 9am for the first exam which finished at 10.45, then asked where I was to go to next, to be told there are no more exams today!!

OK, so I get a few hours off before parents evening which is at 4pm and then clients, but obviously I have earned less than £20 instead of the £65 that I was expecting!

Oh well, will make the most of the time off instead.
