Didn't manage to get on MSE much at all yesterday and I think today is going to be much of the same - I am recording this afternoon but have not got any scripts to take with me so am trying to write children's visualisation stuff this morning in order that I don't make a fool of myself when I arrive at the studio!

It feels so strange not being on MSE as much - I have not caught up with regulars or newbies for what seems like ages and I think I am suffering withdrawal symptoms!

Pania, thank you for the timer - it arrived this morning. Made me smile :D

Hope everyone has a good day xx

can i get some of that luck hypno my gas and electricity are going up ...just to let you know davina and i are having a love hate relationship at the mo lol...she likes you to work that butt dont she

Hi El, my gas and electric was hiked up earlier in the year and I complained only to be told "tough" I pay about £150 gas and electric so would be very happy if that would come down.

LOL at Davina - just keep working at it!! But I do remember the first time I did it I couldn't walk up the stairs - my legs went to jelly and I gave in half way up the stairs and I ended up in a heap on the floor!

yep that does sound familiar lol...i have been the same with mse since i started my challenge i am so more aware of how much time i spend on here now and tend to limit it as i could easily pass the full day in my pjs on mse (and often did) but i am enjoying the new challenges i am trying even davina ...i do find myself wondering at odd times thought what a few of my virtual friends are up to and tend to go straight to the diaries so i can find out ....good luck with your day sounds like it's gonna be a full busy one ...i'm off to bed just now night shift number one done and 3 more to go

    Morning hypno!!!

Glad you liked the timer. Hope it comes in handy for you, however having read your dynamic weekend sounds as if it arrived a little late!! ;)
Good to hear you had a great weekend. Now i've started working properly again (4 appts booked this week:rotfl: ) i've found it quite hard to get on regularly also so i guess we're are suffering the same! is wierd isn't it just how addictive a website can be, but it certainly is a motivation to keep going with it all.
Great news on the AW bill. :T unknown to me OH didn't pay for two months so no chance of a reduction for us!! (i don't like him much at the mo can you tell:rolleyes: ) even just two pounds a month is a bonus!

Have a great day today and hope the script writing goes well. Hows the yoga going? and please please pleeeeeeease can someone let me in on the secret that is stardrops!!

You know when you have a really really tight long pencil skirt on, and you can't move your legs far enough to walk up stairs properly, so you end up having to walk sideways?

Well that is exactly how I was walking for about 4 days! My friends took the mick out of me something rotten but I persevered and the next time only had to walk like that for 3 days. Now there's progress for you!!!

Pania - stardrops are the wonder cleaning item that replaces all the other cleaning stuff in your cupboard - costs about 60p a bottle from the supermarket and a few drops will have your whole house gleaming! If it can't be cleaned with stardrops, it should be thrown away!!!

If you head over to the OS board, there are whole threads about this wonderful liquid. Never again will you buy cillit bang - this really is the universal cleaner!

(sad, I know, but us MSE'ers have been known to get quite excited about stardrops and microfibre cloths!)

I have written two scripts this morning so far. Really really need to get at least another three done. Unfortunately I have run out of "leaded" coffee so am drinking decaf trying to trick my brain into thinking that it is the real thing. My brain will not be fooled though, so it is taking me a while to get going!!

    Hello Hypno

Do you pay £150 a month for gas and elec? That seems very high, get them out to test your meter. We pay about £80 and I'm told that's very high, that's for a family of six in a poorly insulated house with a gas oven whose door doesn't shut properly!

Good luck with the script-writing. In case you're short of ideas for children I've remembered two more my children like - one is telling the story of a butterfly laying an egg on a leaf, the caterpillar emerging, etc etc and so on to the butterfly emerging (based heavily on The Very Hungry Little Caterpillar but minus the cakes and sausages) - and one about a farmer preparing his ground, planting peas, the tiny shoots appearing... you can follow that one right through to the plate.

I've got a marathon writing job today - fifteen pieces of 250 words each and absolute deadline of four o'clock so if you want to do a mini writing challenge with me I'm up for it.

no caffeine... AARGH!!  humans can't function without it!! if i don't have my daily redbull i walk like a zombie!! step away from the decaff, nip up the shop and grab some of the real stuff!

Stardrops sound fantastic and not sad at all.:T not had a look at the os board yet but have heard so much about it i'll go take a look. Never bought cillit bang. the silly man that advertises it and yells all the time put me off:rotfl:

I love the description of the skirt and waking up the stairs, think i'll head to amazon and take a look. if i can get a copy for a pound or so it'l be worth the money.

keep plugging on with those scripts hypno, how many more do you have to go? you'll have a great sense of satisfaction when it's all done i've no doubt.:p
    have a good day.

We used to pay £87 a month combined but they increased it to £147 in January. The only thing I could think of is that this is the first year I have worked from home so the heating and electric was on much more during the winter as I needed to make sure the house was warm enough for clients. I am not averse to putting on another jumper but can't expect that of my clients!

So we have decided to see how it goes for 12 months but to keep on top of it a bit more. £147 is a huge amount that we really cannot afford.

The post brought me the news today that my court hearing for my bank charge case has been put back to 29th August  Will I ever get this sorted  I cannot believe that it is going on for so long, but cannot do anything about it so just have to accept it and put the new date in my diary. Mighty frustrating though.

Seaxwyn - the writing challenge is on - I have to have these done by 12 though!! Each script is between 900 and 1200 words for children. I loved the very hungry caterpiller - his menu on the last day sounds about right for me!!

Great, the writing challenge is on! Just what I needed, I've been faffing about putting this job off for three weeks now and I'm so embarrassed by the number of times I've told the client it would be with her 'today'. I'm logging off here now and will check in when I've done the first five to see how you're getting on! Good luck!
