Hi hypno, just managed to grab five mins at the folks place, glad to hear that today is going a little better, and the housework will be just as satisfying as paying the debt off. And as many have said, if you'd not done the mystery shopping th eskiing would have added to the egg card rather than not. and a fiver is still a fiver less than you had to pay on your debt previously, if you catch me drift!! :-) Hope you have a lovely weekend, enjoy having the house to yourself, madness and mayhem has left and peace and serenity has arrived!!
    Take care.

Lodger has just left the building.........so I could even (shock horror) go and have a bath and leave the door open

Oh the little things that I miss. I can tell you now that as soon as we are debt free, we stop having lodgers in. The thought of having a spare room and privacy again is still a long way off, but the money it generates is mighty useful at the moment. One day though.....

Oh, I wish I could have a bath like that. DD and DS have that many friends wandering around that I daren't. Especially after the occasion that I was in the shower and DD wandered in with one of her friends. What was even more mortiifying was that the child in question was in my class. I did confess to her mother only to be told that it didn't matter as the pair of them had walked in on her on the toilet more than once! I think both of us need to make more use of the locks on the doors!!

Hi hypno, my days have been too long to post for a few days.... I'm just on to say hi, but you really do seem to be having a hard time of late - tho it sounds like right now you're at a friend's house or maybe tucked straight up in bed. I feel for you with having a lodger - when I upgraded from a little flat to a house, it was only with having two of my rooms with lodgers, and as one was a couple, it became an ordinary house share (and then a woman with a little girl moved in and her boyfriend stayed too. It was busy, put it that way). It got me through a tightspot really easily, tho.

Nowadays, I'm feeling pretty down about a lot of things - when I was with family today, for instance (my mother and my sister), I realised how much time I spend thinking about debt and ways to make money. But a lot is just thinking, and even more is doing piddly little bits, that are on the way to making me a little bit - like the regular searches and whatnot. No more. I'm going for mystery shopping and matched betting, like wot you do. Or is that mystery betting and matched shopping. Probably more appopriate.

May your sink shine on into the night, a beacon for all hopeful DFWs!!!

    Hi Karma!!

Mystery Betting and Matched Shopping it is!!

I have had a reasonable day today - felt much more positive than I have for a while. Even managed to get my lounge tidy as well, so it is unusual for me to be able to sit down and have a choice of seats :rotfl: OH and kids won't recognise the place when they get home tomorrow!! There is even clean school uniform for them to wear on Monday!

If I am not careful, I may even have to hop on over to flylady again.....:o

I have decided that I am going to get back into my yoga - used to do it religiously every night - sometimes up to 2 hours at a time, but let it go and now I really think I will get a lot of benefit out of it. So before I crash to bed tonight I have vowed to do a little bit at least, if only ten mins.

There, now that I have said I will do it, I have to do it. No excuses.....

Well I did it - 15 mins yoga. Not much but it is late and it is 15 mins more than I have done for many months!

    So, my positive weekend continues.....

Well done you! I couldn't get onto the forum for almost an hour, had a glitch - how well you used that time! I was pootling - too late for mystery betting etc, lol - doing the dreaded clicks, from the reward mails that mutualpoints sends, and piggy clicks from the other thread on here. Got a nice glass of sherry in hand (I'm using it up rather than buy a new bottle of wine, so its a kind of storecupboard thing) but it might be time for a quick cuppa tea and bed. Sweet dreams to you, you yogaed-out positive person, you :)

Well, full of positive intentions, and taking Pania's tips, I got my running stuff ready to dive into as soon as I got up.

Then realised this morning that even 15 mins yoga when you haven't done any for so so long, makes your muscles feel like    So although the intention was there, it has been pushed aside by my aching butt! I will do some more yoga today though - I had not realised just how unfit I have let myself get.

For my breakfast I have got some strawberries that I have grown myself in the garden - very DFW and also a very positive thing, eating something that I have grown myself. Unfortunately the birds have helped themselves to a good amount of the fruit so I had to forage for some to pick for me. I need to put a net over them because there are loads left to ripen, and I don't want the birds to feast - that's not the reason I planted them there!

Also, on the DFW front, OH and children stayed at a Travel Inn last night for the ski races - there was no shower gel in the bathroom and the fan didn't work properly, but this is covered by a guarantee so when they checked out this morning they got their money back £52 :T

Seriously cool! Free night in a hotel! Excellent news...

As for running...... nope, not gonna happen. When I go out to the post, I *will* be doing some deep breathing, I'll water my new little lavender plants,
and I'll be doing some gardening this afternoon (now there's aerobic exercise, with these hills), but no gardening. *Love* the sound of your strawberries, hypno.:T

Hi El, hope you're ok and that you and Davina are still getting on alright?

Have just done another hour of yoga. I had not realised just how much I had missed it, so have promised myself to do at least a little each day. It is really beneficial, but like everything we have to make the time to do it - no one can force it on you.

The troops will be back late afternoon I expect, so only a few more hours of peace and quiet for me! Actually, I really need to catch up on those scripts and recording so I have e-mailed the studio to see if they can fit in a couple of hours today. Glutton for punishment or what!!

Have also continued with the tidy house theme - not much, but some washing has made it's way into the machine...:D
