Oh Hypno what a pain in the donkey.
You need to get these next few days and all those tape thingies under your belt. You don't need this aggro - but you know that don't you??
Just a thought, when we had a DD go out of our bank that we disputed the validity of, we contacted the bank and they reversed the entry with the proviso that if we were later to agree that it was due, we would be liable. or something like that. Couldn't you do that? or is it too late?0 -
Hi Hypno....what an absolute nightmare for you...I'm so sorry to hear of all your bad dealings and hope you get them sorted soon...Poor customer service seems to be the norm for most companies and it really pees me off!!....what's happened to this world....no manners anywhere!!!
Glad to see you are getting through those scripts...at the moment you could do with listening to some..to help you....hope things start getting better for you very soon xxx0 -
Well, the one step forwards two steps back continues into the weekend.
Woke up feeling quite positive - the family have gone ski racing for the weekend so I have the house more or less to myself (we have a lodger but he keeps himself to himself really at the moment while studying for exams).
The postman brought me a payslip for the balance of the mystery shopping marathon that I did - £205! Woo hoo!
Also got a new online banking passcode so thought I would log on and move money around etc, even paying a tiny bit extra off my egg card, just to make me feel better.
But then the passcode wouldn't work and the technical helpline couldn't help! So they have to send me a new one. So I rang instead for balances only to find that with the money that has been spent on the kids going skiing this weekend, there is none of my mystery shopping money left
I know I should have acknowledged this earlier, and I know on the positive side that I haven't had to borrow money for them to race, but even though, just a weeny amount left for the debt would have been good. It took me weeks to earn that money, and no time at all for it to be whipped away from me.
Such is the life of many a DFW, I know. So sorry for another rant. Getting into bad habits now of ranting away every day. Really sorry. Will find some good news soon.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Just think though, if you hadn't had the money you would still have had to find that money for ski-ing from somewhere.
Can't you even pay the £5 off your egg card? I know it's not much but every little helps. i keep paying odd small amounts off OH's Egg card from his bank account (eg £5,55 this morning). He never even notices the money is gone but all the small amounts add up.0 -
hypno things arnt going your way at the moment and i really wish they were ...although you could look at it as if you had given your details it couldve been a lot worse...i hope your voice is a wee bit better today..and you do seem to have more than your fair share of problems with claiming things back between the bank the insurance and now ontel you could be a champion for claims ...i really hope you get it sorted soon i would mabe try the guardian idea and see if that works ...can i ask did you cancel your ddm? ...how about taking a total day of rest form everything part from hypno just you and the peace of your home even put one of your cd's on grab a box of chocolates (and a bottle of wine) and chill i think you deserve it after the week youve put in ..take care hun and if i can help let me know0

Morning choco!
Yes, I am determined not to let all this crap stuff spiral, so the infamous baby steps it will have to be. £5 will be duly paid off my egg card today.
Good news (sort of) though, the lodger has just announced he is going to a friends for the weekend (perhaps the prospect of spending time alone with a ranting DFW obsessed female is just too much to bear  ) so at least I will have the whole house to myself :j
I have decided that I will attack the housework - with no-one in the house I can put MY fave cds on really loud, Hopefully sparkling worktops and clear floors will lift my mood.
Then this evening I am going to do my yoga in my lounge, not having to hide out of the way, because OH usually makes comments such as "you don't get your legs in *that* position for me" or similar
So, here's to a weekend of "me" :beer:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
brilliant news ...and turn the music wayyy up really lifts the spirits0

Lodger has just left the building.........so I could even (shock horror) go and have a bath and leave the door open
Oh the little things that I miss. I can tell you now that as soon as we are debt free, we stop having lodgers in. The thought of having a spare room and privacy again is still a long way off, but the money it generates is mighty useful at the moment. One day though.....Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Morning hypno,you rant away
Good luck with the housework today,if it's anything like this place,I look at it,have a coffe, look at it again, have a coffee, then go out :rotfl: why does it always fall on the women of the house to clean
Enjoy your time alone, have that bath, run around the house starkers with your duster (very liberating, not that I do it:rotfl: ) but most importantly,ENJOY IT
BTW,just to let you know,we had a dry night last night :j :j :j only just got up,had some much needed sleep.DS spoke to a lady at school yesterday about his going up to middle school and I think maybe it did some good,I asked the head if he could see her and it was all arranged yesterday,he is going to see her once a week until the holidays

Finally sleeping easy in my bed :A0 -
Fab news on the dry night LIH, a school move is a big thing so understandable if it causes stress. Hopefully now it will be much easier for you all round.
I have the stereo up loud and have been making a start on the kitchen. Your "look at the housework, have a coffee, have another look at the housework, have another coffee" thing is my usual rule - never fails me and after many years of practice, I have this procedure down to a fine art :rotfl: but today I am trying a new idea.......put stardrops in sink full of hot water and introduce the resulting liquid to the worktops and the cooker.
The results can be quite startling
My friend who broke her arm last week has asked if I want to go round to theirs for dinner tonight. So I don't even have to think about cooking :jSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes.
