Hypno's kick up the backside debt diary....

It is 11.23 and I have about half an hour remaining that is available as script writing time. I have done four this morning - dolphins and mermaids, the journey of a tiny leaf (thanks Seaxwyn) and the farmer growing and tending his crops (thanks again, cheque in the post) and an enchanted forest, sort of a cross between beatrix potter, the hundred acre wood, and Narnia!!
Just off to make a quick coffee, then to do my last script of the morning - castles, knights and dragons.......
How are you getting on Seaxwyn?
Hope everyone else is ok, hoping to catch up properly later.....Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
aargh you are doing so much better than me. I have only done one of my fifteen pieces (war and peace in aceh, indonesia - possibly takes a tiny bit more research than the journey of a leaf). I admit it, I am rubbish. I have real problems concentrating and have done all sorts of other things while you've been writing away - including posting an Amazon parcel and paying £25 off a credit card just to test my new online account is working. Anyway must buckle down - what's the next one? Rwandan war widows here goes. Hmm, perhaps I should swap you - you can do my wonderful journeys into enchanted lands, and I will do the topical issues of the 20th & 21st century stuff. Perhaps we will both get on better!!
Get working.........:DSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Really pleased(not to say gobsmacked) to hear of your good news from Anglian Water. We are with them so I'm looking forward to the next envelope from them rather than dreading it:rolleyes:. Probably it isn't a widespread cut, I expect we won't get it, but I can dream even if it's only £2 saved :T
Morning hypno :hello:
Brilliant news from Anglian water, ours has gone UP! by £25 over the year,so as Imp says, not a widespread cut
Do you have Essex and Suffolk water for the waste? if you do,this has probably increased by £2 to couteract the decrease from Anglian :rotfl:
Keep up the good work with the writing,

'Well it could be fun to have a go but it would be mighty confusing for both our audiences if we got confused about which we were doing. The child soldier walked into the forest, where he met a wise dragon....
the good thing about writing about this conflict stuff is that it really puts my tiny problems into perspective. OK I can't afford trainers but noone's about to lop my arms off.
Thanks for the challenge, once again you have shamed me with your powers of focus but I think I've exhausted the distractions today and have also booked the children into after school club so I hope I will get it finished.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
PS Forgot to say... I told my DS the story of the tiny leaf last night and he loved it and begged for more.
I haven't done it for ages and must get back in the habit. He and DD3 share a room and he's a real pest and winds her up dreadfully so it's good to have a way to get him calmed down. If you have any suggestions for calming stories/visualisation for little boys do send them my way.
Oops distracted again, back to the writing. I expect you've written another four while I've been wittering.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
hi, our water and waste are both with Anglian water so just pleased to have £2 extra (or £2 less to find, more like it) each month!
Off now to the recording studio once I have printed out these scripts. Catch you all later!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
hi hypno
My house isn't brilliantly insulated, and as you know I'm self employed, so I have clients here. I just heat the room I work in (its tiny, which helps, lol). Thats good enough - I give the central heating a woof in the morning, and again mid afternoon, and thats good enough. It can feel a bit nippy in the house when we come out of the workroom, but thats okay. I'm lucky in that my living room is v well designed, its actually warmer in winter than it is in summer (lots of technical designy bits I won't go into) - maybe thats the difference... don't know, I wish I could suggest something, thats a hellacious bill. Mine was £65 with Scottish Power, and npower have now said they can do it for £36. There's only me, of course, that makes a difference, but still... good luck!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Evening all! I have got through the bulk of the recording now - just need to leave it now for the guy to do the editing and then I may have to record the odd bit here and there just to tie it all in together.
I have enjoyed doing this but do wish that I had done the "work" side of it much earlier. Still - it gave me the kick up the bum that I needed I suppose. Just hope it is all going to be worth it financially in the end.
Seaxwyn, I see your green light is on.....I hope you managed to get your stuff done without too much stress.
Just having a quick coffee then off to see a client.......no rest!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hi Hypno, Can I pick your brains a mo. I'm in the process of reclaiming charges off Mint, I'm reclaiming £204 and they've made me an offer of £50!!!! I seem to remember that you were reclaiming off them. What happened with you? Did you go all the way with them or did they give in and pay up?
Thanks hun GR x0
