I use a bit of washing powder too, I think my mum suggested it as it acts as an abrasive too.

OH always comes in and says blimey you've been busy as he can smell washing and sees the clean floor. How little he knows lol

  • Anyway, I am finding it really hard to believe that hypno's thread has become a household hints and tips thread, lol!

Well Hypno is a hypnotherapist. Perhaps there are subliminal messages in her posts and we are all under her spell :rotfl:

ok i'm going to go and get dressed and start the massive sort the entire flat out in one day mission. It seems that i can't clean each night as i have to knit a scarf each night to top up some chrissy pressies.
If you see me on here in the next decade you're going to have to shout at me and tell me to get back to the cleaning! lol

LOL at you lot - my thread is the focus for housework..........how mad is that!! Housework avoidance, maybe more apt in my case!!

However, today I will finish the kitchen and then tomorrow I start on the lounge.......is that ok, Seaxwyn? It is a big room to do, but I think I will feel pretty good when it is done.

Just got back from being a taxi, and now having lunch, allowing myself until 1pm on MSE and then doing some work. I will do until dinner time doing "paid" work, although because the telly is on, I will jump up (metaphorically speaking) in the adverts and do a bit of housework throughout the afternoon, then after Dinner I will finish off my college work.

I've been trying to avoid it as I didn't want to admit that my house is getting out of control, but hearing all you guys boasting of success has been the final straw. I WILL have a spotlessly clean house by Xmas! As I'm at work this morning, I've just made an excellent start by phoning DH and asking him to put away the pile of clean washing and clean the kitchen floor!

Quite easy, this challenge, so far...!
  • I think I may follow suite and do the lounge too next week.... I'm gonna finish the kitchen today and *hopefully* do the bathroom too..... we shall see...

Might it be and idea to start a new thread for the CHAOS challenge? Don't want it to get in the way of the debt busting too.... unless u don't mind it being here....?:o

    :rotfl: :rotfl: Excellent!

I've just turned around from the pc to see that DS has decided to help.... by pulling all the clean washing out the basket, sucking it, then throwing it on the floor!
