    Fab progress all round :T

I have got the tidying bug now though, and want to get started on the lounge already.........I know that if I try and sit down and do anything else, the housework will taunt me and will call louder until I do it!! It looks even worse now that a couple of other rooms look tidy, IYSWIM

Pandapaws, I am so looking forward to going to bed tonight.....no risk of damaging limbs on the way to the bathroom in the night - no risk of the dust monsters charging around the room and waking me up at 4am either, hopefully!!

Dust monsters. Did I just say Dust Monsters

Housework has gone to my head :rotfl:

Yes thanks...i'm not committing to certain rooms certain weeks..but having a clean house by christmas could be achievable.I have relaxed but energy comes in fits and starts...so will go with the flow and see where I get.At least you are having a break so that's good.

I'm clocking back in here. I've pretty much tackled the bedroom now. Just have soem shelves to tidy and the top of OH chest of draws. I have discovered that my bedroom carpet is green. I should rememeber this as it was only last year that it was laid but i had forgotten lol. What i want to know is how come no matter how many times you clear out all the recycling , there is always another carrier full, even when you make sure you go through the post and get rid of it all and therefore it should never make it as far as the bedroom? Some may have a dust monster but i appear to have a recycling monster in this place. My next challenge appears to be to colour my hair, my even be tonight as i seem to be on a roll with getting stuff done.

Another good thing is that i've found one of my chrissy pressies from last year and it seems i could be buying a can of paint with it for the living room. I knew it was somewhere in the bedroom and i've finally found it.

Result!! See, Lemon Tree, you CAN do this....by the time MiL comes round at the end of the week you will have a sparkly shiny house!

I am going to run the hoover round the lounge now, and then make a start on the ironing pile that is multiplying in the corner.....Then at 9 ish I WILL stop and sit down, content with what I have done!

  • Blimey, you are all busy people! I have frittered away today making a christmas timetable with DD and putting all the random photos that have never been put into albums into the children's photo albums. The photos all seem to end at December 2004 though so now need to go through kitchen drawers where I know there are various used up films and disposable cameras that need developing and get myself into gear to get some of the PC pictures printed.

Hypno I just have to brag - my eldest DD is doing the ironing!!! This is a first. She is valiantly ploughing through her little brother's school shirts, which have never been ironed before!

That's despite a little exchange earlier when both DDs said they were far too tired to get up early in the morning and would I do the paper round.

Hypno, what have you done to me - I have spent most of the day filing 6 months worth of bills and paperwork!! I needed to do it in preparation for the great living room cleaning session that is going to take place next week. I cleaned the living room windows yesterday too - Ryan came downstairs after I'd finished and asked me why they looked 'funny' (I think the word he was looking for was 'clean' or perhaps 'see-through' :o)!

The kitchen is a teeny bit messy but I will tackle that tomorrow morning, to stop it getting out of control again.

    This is a great challenge!
