Ta Karma, think best thing to do is to call the accounts lady and see what she recommends!
Looks like hypno is off to work already!!! have a great day hon and GET THAT ESSAY DONE!!!! If you need any help in typing it up I may have some spare time around lunch time so e-mail the draft across to me and i'll see how much i can get done. xxdebt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
Morning all. Did not commit in advance but have clean kitchen - need to do floor and fridge, also partly done spare bedroom. All washing done, ironing done and those clothes put away. My bedroom to tackle tonight.
Pania - you do not need to do a tax return as such as you are of course already declaring your income. But so far as offsetting your expenses are concerned I don't know how you do it if you are not classed as self employed; I would suggest ringing the Inland Revenue - I have always found them helpful.0 -
Yes, I am at work - would feel bad ringing in sick on my one and only day of the week here, especially with it being my last one!!
I am not sure of the answer P, but would give the revenue a call. They are really quite nice people in my experience, and if they don't know the answer, they will take details and call you back.
I will nip over to the canteen at lunchtime and grab a jacket potato - was going to bring salad, but it is too cold for that, and will finish (hopefully) my assignment then. I have done the bulk of it, it is just the tables and appendices that need doing, so not too bad really (she says, trying to kid herself as much as kid you lot!).
Peb, well done on the work done over the weekend. You did remind me though, that I did not clear out my fridge (and boy does it need it) so I really need to add that to my list of things to do this week.....see, I am not good at this housework larkSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. Hi All
This is my latest update on the housework challenge. My brand spanking new airer arrived on Saturday (the other one that we have got is rubbish, not to put too fine a point on it!) so I now have another method of drying clothes. Also I finally got round to putting the heating on the other day so now I have got the radiators as well. So one of the jobs I aim to get done this week is too catch up with my washing – I did manage to get quite a bit done over the weekend.
OH was working all day Saturday and rehearsing yesterday so didn’t get chance to contribute. That will change on this next free day (he won’t know what’s hit him!!)
The big news is that yesterday I hoovered the front half of the room – all of it! This involved moving all the furniture, rugs etc, which, by the way, is a completely alien concept as far as OH is concerned! I also pulled the cushions off the sofas and hoovered underneath and hoovered the back of the one sofa because behind that is our black cat’s hidey hole! Already the house looks so much better!
Oh, and I also made a start on my kitchen, so that looks a lot better as well. I am going to try and do some more during the week, but I can’t promise! That may be a job for the weekend!
Anyway, the plan for the rest of the week is to do the back half of the room (maybe even some dusting as well as hovering!) and catch up with my washing including drying and putting away but not ironing. I gave up on having an ironing pile some years ago (they always seemed to defy gravity!) so everything gets put away unironed and I iron as I need to – for example yesterday evening I did all my work clothes for the week and DS’s school clothes.
Well done to everyone on their progress!!PigginSkint's debt free diary

Well I've just returned from a long weekend visiting OH, yesterday I was swimming in his outdoor pool, and I get back to horrid weather and a spring clean on this thread......
I've been working on my figures, and I may update my signature, we've may have stopped increasing our debt. I'm sorely tempted to post an SOA to see if I can get debt-busting faster - anything rather than housework......

Hi OO!! Nice to have you back!!
My debt will be increasing too I am pretty sure - we have certainly ground to a halt while we try and raise the money for the kids skiing and I have avoided looking at the snowball calculator for a while - bit of "head in the sand" stuff going on in the hypno household.
However, when I start the new job and know when I will be paid etc, I will be having a renewed surge of debt busting energy, will re-do all the figures, even the horrid ones, and will do a new SOA/budget/wishlist!
I have committed to paying off £15000 by the end of 2008 which is a heck of a challenge but one that would feel sooooo good.
Dragon, I hope this pub is a good'un.....Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
