Oooh lucky you, I envy you that Lidl. If you want advice on Lidl bargains I'll ask my OH, he is their greatest advocate. Unfortunately our nearest Lidl is 8 miles away, and OH's route to work passes Waitrose - hardly DFW but a great temptation for a foodie like him!

Hope the day at the prison goes well and well done on the en suite! My housework challenge will have to wait til Saturday as I've too much work this week.

Hi Seax! I generally don't go to lidl or aldi because there is not one on my way to anywhere, and I figure that if I went out of my way to find one, I would be offsetting any food savings, in extra petrol and time!

However, there is one on the way to/from the new job, so it makes sense to at least give it a go!

I can't leave my housework challenge until Saturday because I have clients in the morning and my bar job in the afternoon/evening, so need to get a headstart on things today! Tomorrow I am invigilating at the school, so won't have any time to do much then.

    On that note......best get moving!!

Coo, there's a lot happened since I was on (only yesterday!!). I *need* to join in the houseworking challenge, please, please, please. Its got really bad during me doing my accounts, but there's a lot of long term slobbiness going on too. I'll just give one example: there's a duvet draped over my bedroom door thats been there so long its got cobwebs on it. There, I really do belong to CHAOS Anonymous... except I just outed myself.

I'll start with the kitchen tho - did some last week, but needs to get finished.
    Thanks everyone!

    Long term slobbiness........yup, that's me!!

Speaking of which I am still in my dressing gown, but in my defence, I have done the dishwasher and started (very slight start, mind you) sorting out the worktops in the kitchen.

Off now to get showered, and dressed, and while I am up there I will do the en-suite.

    Back for coffee shortly!!

Wooo, I've just cleaned the kitchen windows!

There was a bit of a fraught moment when they nearly fell out of their frames in surprise, but they're looking lovely and shiney now!

This is great! I'm still not dressed, laughing out loud at Snaggles' kitchen windows.... have done most of the washing up (it won't fit on the drainer all at once, even using the hob to let the pans drain). If I didn't live alone, I'd swear the OH wasn't doing his share......
