Oh lol Karma, I'm giggling too at the image of your pans draining on your hob! Very inventive - why didn't I think of that. :T

    have pm'd you...

Haven't had anything from you

Well, I have done most of the en-suite. For a small room, it is certainly going to take me a long time!! Perhaps that says something about how bad it was!!

So, almost done, but not enough time to finish the job, because I have to get changed out of my slobs and out to "work". Have got a coffee on the go (of course) so will have to finish the en-suite when I get home

LOL at Karma - OH not pulling his weight. Love it!

Snaggles, I still can't get to my en-suite window - too much truck on the sills. Will do it tonight, and I am sure they will jump out too!!

 :o I have a room thats supposed to be an ensuite..... it was called a dressing room in the estate agents' particulars when I originally bought it, I've never got round to having the bathroom put in.......... anyway...... there are plants on the windowsill that have cobwebs on them...... and when I had a double glazing quote last year, they said the moisture from the plants has caused the windowsill to sink..... I'm going to have to clean that windowsill, aren't I? :o There's a s****ing big spider living at the back of those plants, y'know.......... :o

I am suddenly brought face to face with the horribleness I've let my house descend into. Its all your fault, hypno....... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

:o:o:o beyond measure, but confessing all under the shelter of net anonymity!

I may have to stick this one on my own diary too (maybe delete it from here!) in the interests of full disclosre!

  • Hi Hypno

Well it looks like the challenge is on! CHAOS – I like it!

My house consists of only 5 rooms (2 bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, living room – which I suppose was originally two rooms but got knocked through) plus a small landing so I have got no excuse really as you sound like you have got the bigger job! There is no way I shall get much done before the weekend as I have just had my Avon delivery so this evening will be spent doing my deliveries, cooking the dinner and then probably an early night. Friday evenings are usually a bit of a non-starter because I am just so tired! So Saturday will be the day to get stuck in and OH will be set on as well – with the hours I work I refuse to do it all! DS is at his Dad’s this weekend so he will have a reprieve!

    Gahhh.....spiders......*shudder*

I'm ashamed to say I hoover them up - I would like to be the sort of person that can calmly carry them outside with a glass and a piece of card, but I can't even get that close.

I've ground to a bit of a halt with the housework - I've got two poorly kids at home today, one who keeps throwing up on the carpet, and one who is bored and wanting a lot of entertaining. The kitchen is almost done though, just needs attacking with a bit of bleach, and I need to go to Wilkinsons for a new dish drainer, but that will have to wait till hubby gets home.

You lot have been busy while I've been out spending money...it was sort of planned but will detail on my diary...lol...
I will be doing my kitchen over the weekend as I will probably be going out for a couple of hours later...to drop of baby goodies!!!
I've done a bit of housework today...got the washing on and washed the pots..I've also sorted a load of paperwork out..so that will probably be all I get done today...
Hope you've had a good day Hypno

Thanks for your shudders, Snaggles, its appreciated! I carry what I can outside, I can usually get near enough them for that. But if its late at night, its the hoover. And if they're lively and running around, I just go for 'em (and probably shriek a bit while I'm doing it). I'll be reborn as a spider, in all probability.

Sorry about the poorly kids - but Taxi's plans sound good. And I have a reprieve from spiderland.... I went on a mystery shop today, and I saw a total of TWELVE cats - and two of them let me stroke them! I don't call myself KarmaCAT for nothing, you know! Sorry for the hijack, hypno - hope the shadowing at the prison is going okay.

Home from "work" - and had a really good day. Attended a staff meeting, had lunch and sat in on a lesson, got to know a few of the "guys" and am more than happy to go back for more!

Dinner is in the oven, and then got to get on with some home working and housework. I really want to get that en-suite finished before I go to bed, otherwise I am sure it will just spiral out of control again, and that is not the idea of the exercise! Dishwasher has been done, and a couple of loads of washing done, dry and put away, so that was good too.

A long way to go, but a start has been made.

Snaggles, sorry to read that the kids are poorly - I hope you don't come down with whatever it is they have.

KC, I have a wonderful picture of your house......:D

My house is not *that* big, just a bog standard 4 bedroom but it does have the "extras" like utility, conservatory, endless bathrooms that all gather an extraordinary amount of "stuff", and that I never get round to clearing/tidying/cleaning as much as I should.

One day, in the not too distant future though, it will be clean and tidy and I will be a very happy hypno!

  • Snaggles, how are the kids now?
Hypno, I have another cartridge for you that I'll post tomorrow. V embarrassing. I reported a fault on my printer at work as it wasnt printing in colour properly after I changed the colour cartridge. The techy turned up a week later. I needed to change my black cartridge. How does that work??? Anyhoo I need to pack for my weekend away. Off to Liverpool to see my BF. Taking the train for the first time, very MSE!! Also waiting on a phone call to see if my car has sold. Fingers crossed!!
