OK, kitchen it is, and we don't have an ensuite so I'll do the upstairs loo.

Looking forward to have a sparkling kitchen at the weekend!

Okay, I'll do the kitchen too - when are we doing it by?

*looks despairingly at kitchen floor that never seems to look clean no matter how much it gets scrubbed*

  • All this talk of 'before and after' pics reminds me of a visit I made to see an elderly aunt last year. She hadn't been to our home for years as she's housebound so she doesn't know the full horror of what it's like these days:eek:
We were sitting watching that Kim and Aggie programme on TV where they go and sort out people's squalour and Aunty said "These programmes are so far-fetched. Nobody could live in a mess like that, the producers must spend ages making it look as bad as that specially for those two to clean it up, otherwise there'd be no programme".

I had a little wry smile knowing full well that I live in a mess exactly like that , not that it's a smiling matter of course:o

hello all, starting too feel like returning to the land of the living so just been having a catch up with peoples (somewhat truncated) diaries!! hope that everyone is well ad doing ok, Can I join the housework challenge to? Hypno informed her friend the other day that when i go into her house and say "don't worry about the mess you should see mine" that she ABSOLUTELY knows i'm telling the truth!! ;-)

so I can't have you guys swanning around in spotless houses while my hovel looks more and more like a hobbit hole as time goes on.... and feeling more human i will have the energy back to do it and keep up with it!!!!

I have also given myself a deadline of Christmas week to get the house absolutely organised. I get a week off over Christmas and I am absolutely going to refuse to spend it in a tip. So, I have 6 weeks to get on top of things. Hmmm.....might be easier to clear the £42k of debt I have!!!

Seaxwyn, are you up for a 6 weeks to a tidy house challenge?? You will probably win :D

    Hi Hypno

Count me in for a 6 weeks to a tidy house challenge - my house seriously needs it!

:o:o Count me in too... sigh... my flat looks like a bomb has gone off in every room (including the hall:eek:  ). Hmmmm actually a bomb would be tidier... at least there would be a space somewhere in the middle!! :o:o

I prob wont start on the kitchen though as I have a bit of a phobia about it :o (and yes I'm getting help for it  ). I think I'll start on my box room. Despite it being tiny it still manages to be full of rubbish and I could do with discovering my desk/worktable again :rotfl:

Right I pledge to have a tidy of my boxroom before the end of Sunday the 18th (I work full time so it'll be weekends mostly for me). PLEASE give me MANY kick up the backsides till I do this!! :T

Ok then..you've shamed me into it!!!!...I promise my kitchen will be done by sunday evening...YIKES!!!...I will have to do it in the evenings(if I can tear myself away from here)...that sounds interesting shadowing someone...but..of course you want the job..but at least it will take any nerves away and well done starting that work..take carexx
  • ohh nooooo tidying! Does chucking thinks in the bedroom, shutting the door & pretending there's nowt there count?!! Sitting rom & kitchen look great but bedroom is another matter! Mind you there are advantages to only having 4 rooms!! (bedroom, kitchen, bathroom & sitting room!!)
God that the job plans are on the go & that you start soon but sad that you have to say bye to clients as I'm sure you get close to them...Keep up the good work & happy tidying!

Yay! Loads of houseworking DFW's. I can't pull out of this one now otherwise you lot will be in sparkly houses and I will still be suffering from CHAOS (Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome)!

Pania, good to see you back.....:D

I am sort of doing some work this afternoon and evening, so will pop on and off MSE in between but need to get my head down to earning some dosh.....housework will start in the morning.

Hope you all have a good evening!
