Nine years of being a single mum, followed by a marriage against her will;) (not arf!) and I still deal with guilt.

And she'd be a gold medallist at tugging my heart strings.

Even then I am pathetically grateful for her attention, totally in awe of her poise, good looks and kind nature, and would crawl over hot coals at the drop of an e-mail. :o

Ah there's no guilt like Mother Guilt ! :)
Now what I want to know is why people will rush to tell you all about the sleepless nights, the horror of childbirth, the terrible twos etc etc when you're pregnant-but no-one ever mentions Mother Guilt which is the hardest thing of all (and lasts the longest) !! :D

Firstly that's great news about reaching another milestone in your debt journey - you'll get to £10000 before long I know it!

Well done on the clearing up too - My new filing trays seem to be working well and new routines we live in a 3 storey house so we normally pick post up and open it in the dining room/kitchen and stuff stacks up there, doesn't get dealt with etc. So now we're taking it all upstairs and there are 2 trays on my now clear desk. One for things straight for filing, one for things that need dealing with and the other for things that need filing away, and the rubbish can go in the recycling bin (we have a bin for recycables on each floor so we can save things and only need to take things to the main boxes in the garage every week). It's worked great so far and just a small thing like that makes a big difference - esp to our dining room table ;).

How's your student getting on? haven't heard her mentioned recently.

The new student is lovely - has settled in well in her first week, both here and at school. Hopefully we will all have a good year!

De-cluttering has gone well - my workspace was the target of today's focus and is a whole lot better.

The book is fab. It is not the usual "clear your stuff" book, but seems to go a whole lot deeper into why we are like this and stuff. Seems strange for a "tidy up" book, but it actually seems to make sense to me. It is quite an emotional journey really!

Off to take the kids to karate - they have grading tomorrow so this is their last chance for practice! Back in a couple of hours!!

you can decorate the north-east of your home with pink and grey colours

    Hmm...sounds very 1980's...
I'm going to try this once I've found the compass :D

You don't need a compass! Point at where the sun comes up every day. That's east. Point to where it's grim. That's north.

You can take it from there... ;)
