  • Does the back left corner have to be in the house? We have a lean-too that we consider to be back left - now I know why my mum kept putting a plant in the corner! Mind you, shortly afterwards I found MSE / DFW !

Well, nothing moneysaving to report, although filing loads of papers must count for something, and my lounge is clear enough for me to justify sitting and relaxing for an hour or so - it's not perfect but it is a whole lot better than it was!

Hope everyone else is having a good evening, winding down nicely for the weekend :D

Plumber came while I was at work to fit the final thingy in our new bathroom.
When I came home, I thought that's not like him to leave the floor wet, and mopped it up.
It's 9.30 pm on a Friday and the puddle is back........

I think I'll be all right. OH lands at Heathrow tomorrow at 7.55 am.......it'll be a welcome home present :rotfl:

No seriously, I've turned the water off to the underfloor heating and that seems to have stopped it for now. I'll leave it to the menfolk, I'm partying on another thread at the mo....:rotfl: The bathroom floor can remain cold, and I've mopped again.

If you dust the floor lightly with talcum powder, you can see where it's coming from.

ZTD, thanks for your advice, but I can see where the leak is coming from. I think he wanted us to be able to isolate the underfloor heating from the central heating and so there are 3 different valves. One of those was seeping, and when I moved it, it started dripping. So I've turned off all 3 and I'll let a more knowledgable person tighten up the oojamaflips.:D
  • Hi there, hope you don't mind the gatecrash.
