Good morning Hypno hon
Things are fine over in Joanneland, will update my diary in a few minutes. I can't believe you managed to get your OH to finally part with that bike!! How did you do it? Well done anyhoo hon, as you said before it was barely used for the price paid so I'm glad you'll both be getting something back from it! xDebt free since 2014 - now saving for a mortgage deposit :heart2:
This time I'm on top of it! We live and learn :coffee:0 -
Afternoon Hypno and all,
Glad everything is going well in your house and hope the kids have passed...will pop back in later....with a mother like you no wonder they're full of energy...you lot never stop....you'll soon be at the £10000 mark...well done0 -
Evening All!! Well, the children have passed their gradings - they are now purple belts - getting there! To celebrate they asked for fish and chips from the chippie - a very rare treat, and I thought what the heck! So they cycled to the chippy and are sitting at the dining table chatting away, very happy. I don't like chippy chips (prefer mine from Yarmouth Market!) so will sort myself out a storecupboard meal later on.
OH didn't really think about selling his bike until he saw that one on ebay went for £210, then someone at work was talking about buying one so Kevin took his in for them to look at. Someone else then saw it, and came along with the cash, so pretty easy really!! I am glad we didn't sell it on ebay because we would have had to sort out packing up and sending with a courier which might have been a bit of a pain!
I'm just pleased that it is gone, and the money has gone off the egg card :jSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Awww they're lovely
They're not too bad
I have just been really really naughty and bought my own birthday present.
When Dad was alive, for my birthday he used to buy me concert tickets and him and I would go and have a really good night out at - we went to see the Human League a couple of times, Erasure, Simple Minds - all the 80s stuff and it became a bit of a tradition.
Anyway, The human league are back in December so I have bought myself and some friends tickets for my birthday. Completely self indulgent, but we will have a damned good time, and I will raise a glass or two to my Dad while we are there.
(the upshot is that I have just spent £110  - let's hope Quidco and Topcashback pay up before then!!)Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
