Well my writing *is* better than my singing.

But then again, my singing is limited by U.N. Treaty - so that isn't saying much...

This feng shui thing has me very confused now... I have 2 front doors - 1 into the communal stair and then another one into my flat. Which one do I do the back left thing with?

If the door into my flat - then my money corner is my combi boiler/ pile of rubbish on worktop

If the door to the stair - then my money corner is in my toilet :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: It would probably explains a few things tho!! :rolleyes: Sh*t with money...

I just had a google and got told that it could be the south western corner of my flat - which is my loo again :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:

... not liking this feng shui thing too much...... :rotfl:

Hypno, I just wanted to say thank-you for the idea of rice pudding as a meal in the evening. That's what I had tonight (I'm bored with Pasta and running out of many ingredients and too lazy or tight to go shopping) and I'm sitting here feeling all warm and cozy having consumed a huge bowl of comfort food.

I can even cope with the constant crashing of the computer. sigh

Hi y'all again flicking through this feng shui book now and found this...thought it might be appropriate for some of us, definately me anyway. If you're careless and reckless with money and are an impulsive shopper, regretting your purchases, then, to improve the situation, you can decorate the north-east of your home with pink and grey colours to calm the detrimental chi energy of this direction, making you less inclined to act on impulse. (I suppose you could put a pink vase with pink flowers in)
I'm going to try this once I've found the compass Hope it works if you try it. In fact I'm going to make a real effort to do some of the suggestions in the book and keep a diary to record any positive changes, starting with the impulse buying.

Morning all!

I am very positive today :j OH has sold a bike that he bought a couple of years ago with the intention of doing the London to Brighton bike ride, but like all these good intentions, it sat in the garage doing nothing!

So he has sold it for £200. Has kept £20 to cover his expenses over the weekend (he is working back to back shifts all weekend so I don't mind him eating out) and gave me £180 in cash this morning!!

All this talk about the money corner may just be paying off :rotfl:

Anyway, I have also been paid £10 for a mystery shop, so I have logged in to Egg banking online and made a lovely overpayment to OH egg card of £190 :T

This brings that card down below £3000 so another milestone! Also, the amount paid off the debt this year is now over £9500 - almost within grasp of the magical £10000 that I set off with as my year's target. I am determined to get to that target by the end of the month!!

You know I don't actually believe in all that mystic nonsense........but cleared clutter makes one feel positive and that helps. (said amid a sea of items that will one day be on e-bay....)

And clearing the clutter (bike) is what has made the money flow in not Feng shui-ing your money corner.......oh it's much more fun to believe thatyour Chi is flowing well, carry on.

Morning OliveOyl!! I do feel better in being able to see a couple of surfaces in the house!! I know that it is a combination of the debt, my disorganisation, and the state of the house that gets me down - it is not just one thing.

So I have to tackle all of them because they overlap hugely, and I am slowly getting there! I don't have clients until this afternoon, so I am going to spend some of the spare time this morning doing more of the decluttering stuff, and hopefully will get a couple of bits listed on ebay in the process to help the debt busting side of things move further forward.
