 Seaxwyn, £100 a month!

I did almost incur a charge last year, actually, realised I hadn't paid on the day it was due. Luckily, that credit card was with the same bank that had my current a/c, so I phoned them and told them why it had happened. They transferred it over straight away without any problems, I was amazed.

Sorry for the sligh hijack, hypno! :p :A

I'm sure there were months when he was charged well over £100. I can't wait to read his bank statements - we will be made!

I incurred a bank charge last year when NatWest reduced my overdraft limit without telling me. I was so furious I insisted they repay the charge and they did, it took one phonecall, so I was lucky.

Sorry Hypno - we sholdnt chat on your thread but it's such a welcoming place! Must be all those kettle mentions. I'm a coffee lover too but only have one a day - the rest of the time it's tea or Roibos (spelling?), which I developed a taste for while working with South Africans.

    Hey guys! Hijack away!!

Perhaps when OH sees the huge sums of money to be reclaimed that will motivate him to get on with it. We have/are claiming over £8000 altogether! Just the thought of that amount of money gets me signing up to the Consumer Action Group without stopping at "Go"!!!!

Hi P, good news about getting the internet up and running again. Did you enquire about counselling for being without access to MSE????

I am getting on quite well with my admin jobs - lots of bits and pieces that I have no reason not to do, just never make them a priority!!!

DD is busy "comping" - I doubt we will win anything, but it is keeping her out of mischief!

I have also paid a bit extra off my egg card, bringing it down to a more attractive level. I have "taken" the money out of my August bills money, so I now HAVE to replace it somehow - talk about ways to motivate yourself!! It must be working because I have listed something on ebay already this morning, although that on its own won't be enough to replace it, but it is certainly a start!

Comping - is entering competitions - there is a competitions board on here and they seem like a friendly bunch!! I don't think for a minute we will win anything, but like I said, it is keeping her happy!

I have a courtesy car at the mo, which is lovely to drive but because it is nice and powerful, OH is not driving in the most economical way, if you get my drift!! Boys and their (temporary) toys - He is in no hurry to get ours repaired because he likes the replacement!! However, ours is going in for the repair estimate on Thursday so we will see what timescale they give us! OH may be disappointed!!

hmmm boys toys hey!! thats cool! hope yours gets repaired ok and doesn't take too long.

I pulled a bit of a swifty with my one when i crashed it.. was just JUST repairable. I called ins co saying i wouldn't feel safe in it and wanted it written off. Got well well above what i would have got if i sold it due to engine problem, cleared mouldy bills, put deposit on our rented house and ended up with an old banger! but very worth it!! quite naughty and not advised method of capital raising!

will have a look at the comping board after doing my work, WORK! EEP I'M MEANT TO BE WORKING. SHOOT!! (runs off quickly to do work and avoid the sack!! :-) )
