Evening hypno. So glad you enjoyed yourself at the concert! :)

Wow - speedy appointment for your physio! I am shocked! But then again cancellations do happen so good job your GP rang efficiently...a case of the right phone call at the right time. I hope it goes well on Wednesday.

It tugged at my heart strings that you feel reluctant to claim because of your financial situation. Just goes to show how debt reaches into all sorts of corners in life.

But as has already been said, you won't claim for silly amounts - so I hope you go for it as it's one of the reasons why you pay your insurance surely?

Finally - PHEW - re the sticky number 7 on the keyboard. I would have been panicking as well!

Hi Hypno...please do make a claim as you are generally suffering and losing work. The insurance companies know when somebody is swinging the lead...I would expect my passengers to claim if I had an accident...that's why taxi insurance is so high....as insurance companies expect everyone to claim in a bump...not that I've ever had one in my cab...you are absolutely genuine and have nothing to fear..well done on the quick appointment

Thanks guys, as the day goes on, I stiffen up more, so sitting here in an evening I am quite uncomfortable. So, I have talked with OH and am going to put in a claim, and we shall just see what happens. I certainly don't want to be taking painkillers in the long term.

Just had an insurance (income protection) salesman on the phone - really pally, calling me by my first name (how very dare he!) push, push, push! Trying to arrange an appointment to come and see me to arrange this fab new income protection scheme. He was most put out when I said "no, thanks but no thanks". I was strong :T

DFW wise (apart from that) I took a flask of coffee, very nice it was too, and me and my friend sat in Costa Coffee with our own brew........well, that will serve them right for serving me instant coffee and charging me a fortune!!

Coffee from any place is expensive - well done for taking your own! When I feel in need of a treat, I get a takeaway coffee, though from Caffe Nero as they have a loyalty card lol :p x

Well a good start to the day - OH has a very small amount of bank charges on one of his CCs. It came to about £150, so compared with my barclays claim of £4500 it is very small indeed! However, they have offered £80 which I will accept, purely because I don't really "need" another battle, as I am getting closer to Barclays court date, still have to fight my travel insurance, and obviously may have the accident claim to deal with now.

So, they will refund £80 back to his card, which will be a useful little overpayment, which has cost me about £2.50 in recorded delivery to claim.

In the circumstances I am happy with that - so a good start to the day!!

Dinne last night was courtesy of the leftovers from the barbecue the kids went to on Sunday - loads of leftover sausages, which we have cooked and frozen, and pork chops, again cooked and in the freezer. Also (and best of all) there was a meringue smash type thing. Obviously because it was fresh cream, it just HAD to be eated yesterday!! What a hardship.

I reckon we have 3 or 4 days of free food courtesy of the bbq. All good stuff!!

DS is going to go on the bus today to his holiday activity. Hopefully it will be a bit less cost wise than taking the car, and he is looking forward to the independence! The bus stops 2 doors away from our house, and outside the school that the activity takes place at, so safety wise is minimal risk. We will see how he gets on!

    Right.....better get that kettle on!!

:T Yep, definitely a nice start, congrats on the charges refund. I love the way that so many of your posts finish with a kettle reference. A woman after my own heart (also with the bbq leftovers)!:T

I could never be a nutritional therapist - would always have to be telling clients to cut out coffee, and would be such a hypocrite!!

I have tried the whole herbal tea thing.......nope, never got it :o

    Hi Hypno

Hooray! Glad to read the good news about OH's bank charges. Well done for your perseverence and wishing the very best outcome from your bank charges and insurance things.

I must get my OH to reclaim his charges, I'm sure he has clocked up thousands over the years, but he is unwilling to let me near his bank statements.

My day started with handing £70 cash over to the plasterer... but a lovely sunny walk up to school for the last day of term.

Hope it's sunny in norfolk too and you have a good day.
