    Hi Hypno (and everyone else)

Was just catching up on the thread. My DD has also turned her packed lunches into a virtue, she has other kids lining up to taste or trade her homemade/baked goodies. I send them with tubs of homemade yoghurt or jelly too (saved tubs from baking powder etc are great). I always use Delia's recipe as I have found it very reliable and no need for the toughening excercise of liquid drinking  . Although I'm sure it must be good for digestion. I have simplified Delia's recipe but it still seems to work.

Bring 1 pint of milk to boil in large pan and let it simmer for about 30mins until reduced by 2/3. Take off heat and let cool until it reaches 49 deg C or 120 deg F. Then put 1 teaspoon of natural unsweetened live yoghurt (I like Longley Farm 'cause it tastes good) in a thermos, add a little milk and stir well, then add rest of milk still stirring. Put the lid on and leave for at least 6 hours. You will have about 425g of yoghurt. Put in a tub and store in fridge - start again with next batch, if kids like mine there will never be enough. Everything must be very clean to start with and you can use your own yoghurt to start next batch but best to use bought every 3 months or so. You can use skimmed, long-life or powdered milk and all taste good but none so nice as whole fresh milk. Add what you like to taste.

Also, sorry for hijacking but hope you enjoy.

    Morning Hypno.

How was the playgroup evening? Have you got any new customers there?

I made the cheese straws last night - a triumph. It was hard to keep four back for the lunch boxes.

Hi Seaxwyn, glad the cheese straws were a success - I will be making some more this weekend, and will be giving ZTD's yoghurt a try today too!

The Pamper Party went pretty well - I did 8 treatments back to back so by the end of the night I was shattered. People paid a token price per treatment so at least I came home with a few pounds, but hopefully I have got a couple of new clients from it. It was well organised and plenty of people there, so I have said that I would be happy to do it again should they hold a similar event at any time.

Today I have clients this afternoon and this evening so this morning I really need to catch up on some paperwork. What are your plans for the day?

I'm glad the pamper party was a success. Do you give the people a card with your phone no so they can easily get in touch to book a proper session?

Good luck with the yoghurt. I was brought up on home-made yoghurt and still appreciate the shob-bought stuff to this very day.

Hi P, I am sure the next batch of cheese straws will be fabby! I use value strong cheese which works really well. Also if you have any mustard, add a touch of that as it brings out the flavour of the cheese. If you don't have any, I will bring some over next time I am your way because I have loads!

Seaxwyn, yes they all got cards thrust in their hands whether they wanted them or not!! Even if I only get one client out of it, it will have been worth doing!

Your comment about the yoghurt made me think that perhaps my home made version is not going to be a success...........will let you know! I am going to have another cup of coffee, then get walking down to the shops, dodging any showers, and getting some UHT milk etc!

My mother's yogurt was variable in quality, often rather watery and lumpy, and with a very strong smell. ZTD and lemanie appear to be more successful. Let me know how you get on and if it's a success I will have a go too (she says doubtfully).

I've just agreed to take a 99-year-old man and his not-much-younger sister to the village flower show on Saturday to exhibit their produce - a money-saving good deed as I will no doubt be rewarded with gifts of prize-winning fruit and veg. I'm wondering if I need to clean out the car in their honour - surely their sight will not be good enough at their age to make this necessary?

Of course you have Loads of mustard. Doesn't it hang in the air like a haze over Norwich? Don't you get it delivered with your milk? :D

Seaxwyn, as long as there is nothing to break their necks on as they get into the car (as my car would have!) a clean up is not necessary. I always just say "proof it is a family car, please excuse the mess!".

So, 101 meals to make with a giant marrow and carrots that look like David Beckham will be the order of the day then..... Make sure you don't take cash with you otherwise you will be coming home with all sorts of stuff that you don't need!

OliveOyl, we are very proud of our mustard here in Norwich! Can't beat it :D

Ebay this week is sitting at £46, but do expect more - my tesco vouchers are currently sitting at less than face value, so am hoping for at least double what they are now. One item still has no bids but does have watchers so, again I remain hopeful. Still 2 or 3 days to go so plenty of time yet.

OH missing pay has still not gone in the bank  Have asked him to chase it up, but may need to chase him up too - I am sure he has forgotten already!
