No! I am sure the sun shined back in 1976........but of course you weren't around then
Thought I might start building an Ark in my spare time. Any DFW ideas for obtaining wood and for feeding loads of animalsSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
yup, elveden forest, take a big blue ikea bag and pretend your a naturist, or is it naturalist? can never remember which is the person interested in nature and which is the nude!! then put all the animals in and they will all feed each other! You maybe able tosell your ark to the government which would be very DFW indeed!!! Oh the things we find to talk about at this time of the day! got loads of work to do just trying to ignore the fact for half hour!! think i'll join you in the cuppa actually, may well have a bowl of cereal to.
Good to see even though you started the day with a rant you've found your sense of humour ;-)
and i just missed the sun in 1976 darn it!!
PS Breaking news... I'm going to be an aunty x 2 today or tomorrow as my sisters little one was due yesterday and didn't arrive!! can't wait!!debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
  at the thought of me running round eleveden with my wobbly bits hanging out   Those poor Center Parcs residents would get a bit of a shock when out on their bike trails
I think even the squirrels would run like crazy
Good news on the impending Auntyness........:D
Just checked online banking and some paypal money has gone in, also quidco for the month has been credited, so everything is on track for the month, as long as we don't go over the jam jar budgets! Looking pretty good so far.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. :rotfl: LOL, :rotfl:I was aiming for the word that DID NOT involve running round naked, my god, just the thought!!!!! sorry for potentially embarrassing misunderstanding!
I meant pretend to be interested in nature, mosses, bark and the like to explain away the bag of wood you were haf inching!!
Oh dear just had a good laugh at that, thanks hypno!
great news re the money, it all helps!! Not going to get my quidco money until next month as they'd deleted my bank details for some reason:eek: couldn't find a phone number to call them so had to wait the ten days which takes me over this payment period. Dang and blast!! but should get £200 in one go! wahey!:T
Have a great day.

This quidco lark is pretty good isn't it! So far this year we have had over £350 back, just from doing stuff like car & bike insurance, clicking through before buying stuff on ebay, matched betting sites etc.
We have got our car insurance due this month so that will go through quidco too, and our house insurance later in the year will go through there too I expect.
I reckon it is easy for us to get £500 a year just from using it for the things we have to spend out on anyway, and I am sure some get much more.
So thank you :money: I would not have found quidco without you!!
Have just made myself *another* cup of coffee.......might be joining the procrastination challenge at this rateSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Right.....action stations.....
OH's C/C statements for one card for the last 6 years have arrived.....guess what I will be doing!!
But I won't start until I have done my banking & mystery shopping otherwise I will never get those things done in time!
Good incentive to get off my backside.........catch up later!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hi hypno
I'm back after my couple of busy days outside the house (lots of fun - one was a day with a friend, and the other was to London to a finance seminar. I really don't know how you or anyone with a job/moneysaving outside the house AND kids manages, I really don't. I must be really soft. Admittedly, I was out the house for a long time the 2nd day, but I haven't done any washing up or cooking in that time, the kitchen is filthy, the garden hasn't been touched since my nephew was down (tho it has been raining fit for Noah, see your discussion above re arks, lol), today is definitely a recovery day for me.
Your mystery shop sounds fab. Hope you enjoy!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Then DS, starts going on about why can't he have stuff in his lunchboxes like all his friends have!!! So, I slog my guts out baking at the weekend, and he complains that there are no yoghurts  I know that it is not easy when surrounded by friends eating choccy biscuits or shop bought crappy processed stuff that looks colourful to a child, but he doesn't do badly at all food wise.
Make your own. It's probably about 40p per litre of yoghurt.
Even I can (and do) do it...
