Hooray! So glad to see your total moving in the right direction - well done!

    Right, motivation needed!!!

I set myself three challenges this year (well, one has morphed into another)

My initial challenge was to pay off £10000 capital in 2007. I am £1755 away from that.

Then I upped that to pay off £15000 capital in 2007. I am £6755 away from that.

Then I am in the race against Seaxwyn to get debt down to £35000 by Christmas. I am £8099 away from that.

    All still achievable........if I am careful/enterprising!!

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Hi Hypno

With the invigilating - it might be worth asking around for September time too as that's when resits happen at uni's etc, plus there's a November sitting for GCSEs too (though not many people take them at that time!)

Might it also be worth seeing if the schools need people on the day of the results coming in to sort them out for the students - probably a days basic admin work!

As with others, I hadn't realised that your basic income didn't cover the outgoings each month - my respect for you & your OH just keeps rising!

Thanks Storm, I will give the school and our local uni a call.

Have just telephoned the tax office. Unfortunately I was too efficient in 2001/2 and 2002/3 and have already received all the child tax relief due. Oh well, it was worth a phone call!!

What can I try and claim next.........

Right, finally managed to get through to Barclays Litigation dept. Spoke to a very nice man. (a very very nice man) who says that they will expect to settle before court and I should expect to hear something at the beginning of August (my court date is at the end of August). So, fingers crossed now that at the beginning of next month I will have a nice sum coming to me, which will definately put me back in the race.....:D

Picked up a mystery shop for tomorrow - not much but still something!

Got to go to the bank in a mo, but first am going to do a couple of letters.....

That's great news about Barclays Hypno, I really hope it gets settled before it goes to court. Did the mystery shop go well?

Hi Snaggles, the mystery shop is in the morning - I have to order a hot breakfast and a coffee!! I am sure it will go well, and will probably save me having to eat lunch too!!

Just seen my last client of the evening, so work done - now I can watch the F word and have a bit of chill out time :j Orange Wednesday all lined up for the children to see Shrek after school tomorrow, budgets still going well - jam jars still have cash in them!! Spreadsheet updated and on track and totals updated in my signature. A good day's work :T
