Martin has a load of info on the "reclaim £1000s" tab at the top of the site about reclaiming mortgage fees. Seems lots of people are able to claim £100 or so, and it is all coming through very quickly - about 2 weeks from start to finish! Got to be worth a go, although sadly we didn't have anything to reclaim.

I am not going to count my chickens with the bank charges - I still have this test case thing hanging over me, but the conversation was encouraging. If it does come through I will be over the moon!!

My morning is starting off badly..... Firstly I have put the heating on. It is not cold, but this horrid wet weather really makes it feel so. I want to be cosy so the heating is on for an hour.

Then DS, starts going on about why can't he have stuff in his lunchboxes like all his friends have!!! So, I slog my guts out baking at the weekend, and he complains that there are no yoghurts  I know that it is not easy when surrounded by friends eating choccy biscuits or shop bought crappy processed stuff that looks colourful to a child, but he doesn't do badly at all food wise.

Also, he is not happy that there is no budget for sweets at the cinema this afternoon! The cinema ticket is actually coming out of the grocery budget so I am certainly not buying sweets as well, even from the local shop where they will be a fraction of the cost of the cinema ones.

Have explained it all *again* to him and got a very reluctant "sorry mummy" but I just don't need this!

Ok, rant over, better get ready to go and do a mystery shop. Or perhaps I will have another :coffee: first.

Hiya Hypno, sorry to hear your day has started badly hon, it must be hard on the children when the other kids are eating cr*p, but home made food tastes sooooo much better, i guess the other kids may actually be quite jealous of him. We used to do "swapsies" in the playground, bet your flap jack would go down a treat for a yogurt!!
I was thinking of doing orange weds for OH and i this eve, know he wants to see die hard, asked him if he wanted to go, replied "I really couldn't give a to**!!" so he can forget that idea then!!
This weathers just horrible isn't it i know what you mean about cold, and i guess we'll STILL have a water shortage in summer!!!!
Have a coffee, relax and be kind to yourself for half an hour before tackling the day again.
    Take care
    P

Thanks P, I am sure that the weather doesn't help - gloomy weather makes me feel gloomy too! Oh for a little sunshine!

One more coffee, then need to have a shower and get a move on! Sorry that OH was not keen on going out, but think about the money you have saved by not going! Use some of this for a little treat for yourself today x
