Hi everyone
Thank you for your support.
I meant the packet was opened not unopened to much of a rush this morning.
feel I am fighting more today than yesterday, like thought about it more.
I am going to look at the links from the first page and have a read.
Hope everyone is doing well
Thanks Debbie0 -

VERY well done, Debbie!!! :T Don't struggle with analysing too much though or you'll be thinking too much about 'them' and stopping rather than simply letting your thoughts go as far away from it as possible. Yes, read through the 1st page and check out the links, especially the Silk Quit one.
You only had the one yesterday, nothing to get over worried about, but next time there's any temptation..go on upstairs out of the way..or grab hold of those adorable kiddies and know you want to be there for them when they grow up.Be strong, be patient and think beautiful thoughts.

Hi everyone, I hope everyone is doing well this evening and everyone has had a good day today. Hope your feeling better debs ...I've been thinking of you today and willing you on
As for me well I've had a good day today:T I emailed a close friend ( who has been trying to steer me into a non smoking lifestyle for ages !) and I got such a lovely email back that it made me crywork colleagues have pointed out to me that I've been a bit hyper and manic today :rotfl: and that I had a slump later in the day, but I haven't really felt the urge to have a cig so that's a blessing. Another good friend has offered to whiten my teeth for free as a reward and an incentive when I've been smoke free for 1 month:) I've been wanting it done for ages but have not had the money and she told me today that she wouldn't do it for me whist I smoked as it was pointless and a waste of money! Keep it up everyone ...thinking of you all

Oh Kizzy, that is such an excellent post!!!! :T Well done for writing to someone you knew was concerned about your health, she's a true friend in every sense of the word and replied swiftly to help you on.
Your colleagues are terrific and the friend who has offered to whiten your teeth for free as a reward is a wonderful friend :j; it is so good to have people care about you in such ways, but you must be just as good a friend to them, that's for certain!
Personally, I can't think of a better reward than for someone to help with your teeth and I'm sure you really don't need more incentive than that, apart from getting as healthy as possible which you're already doing!
It was still you who needed to take that big bold step forward though, the first which is taking you on your journey, one step at a time. Time to keep right on looking ahead and remaining resolute, Kizzy. I reckon you will do this!
Sue xx
Stay strong, everyone, there are so many positive stoppers here, many who, I'm sure, in time will be the quitters of the near future and have their names added to the role of honour! YES!!!!!! :j

:oMorning all!
I slept last night, yay! Got up once, but pretty much slept from midnight through to 7.00am.
Thank god for that. I nearly had a fag last night, just to get some sleep, but I didnt and I am so glad I didnt as I am obviously now coming out the other side.
Hopefully now I can start to enjoy my life again and will admit that there were quite large parts of the day yesterday when I didnt think about fags at all.
Went to see the nurse at my local hospital for something unrelated and turns out she is the no smoking co-ordinator, so had a good chat with her, which was helpful. She has marked me as a non-smoker on my records which was a boost - never had that before.
Good luck today everybody, keep the faith that you can do it and that it will get better. A little bit of pain now is definitely worth all the pain you are saving later on.:oSmoke Free since 1 January 20130 -

Ohhhh that's a great feeling isn't it!
I'm part of a research project for a disease I've got and have to fill out questionnaires every couple of months - last one .... I had to tick the "non-smoker" option :j:j:j felt good!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Excellent warez!!!! :j I'm absolutely delighted for you!!!! Now things will go much better, much faster as you move swiftly through that 2nd week!!BTW, IF you'd had a fag it wouldn't have helped you sleep, you'd most likely have felt so disgusted with yourself at having lost control and given in and been awake all night anyway!
The red highlighted sentence above means the world to me - and IF ever you meet any times where you could be tempted a little, then come back and read that bit AND your last paragraph which I'm going to use as a tail piece today!!! :grinheart
You've turned a mammoth corner on your journey..now keep looking ahead - head held high - as you continue....the journey of a lifetime!

Hi Rising! Doesn't that new non smoker status make us all feel so much better, much more healthy too even if for some it's only the early days; it's another way to encourage everyone forward and never want to lose those all important words. :grinheart Your new title, if you like!

I'm ending this morning, not with my own thoughts, but with warez's highly motivational last paragraph which is perfect for you all....those who are lurking and wondering about stopping too.

Hello Ladies,
Sorry to hear some of you have been struggling, don't give up though, dust yourself off and carry on, you can do it, remember we don't need to smoke.
Day 3 for me and I'm doing okay. More cravings yesterday but I think that's habit in all honesty, just the habit of having a cigarette in my hand and puffing on it.... as disgusting as that sounds!!
I went 12 hours without a patch, I've now switched to a low dosage one and so far so good, I'm not eating anymore than I used to, my sleep isn't effected and I'm sipping on lots of water!!
The cravings are still here but I'm overcoming them by distracting myself, still difficult though I admit.
Keep on going, we can do this. Think of the health benefits plus all the money which we will be saving.0 -

A wonderfully positive post, babes!!!! :T Well done on the water..it truly does help against cravings..and from snacking as we feel more full with the water inside us which helps with both.
You're dealing with the cravings in a truly positive way and finding out that they are there out of habit more than anything else.
Doesn't it sound disgusting to think of puffing away on fags, tis a wonder we weren't brown on the outside AND the inside!!!
Do what YOU feel is best for you with the patches, listen to your body, it'll tell you what's best in your new fag-free life!!! :grinheart
Keep up the positive attitude, babes, it is the very best way, the way through this as painlessly as possible!
