Determined.....get out of that bed now and get showered
:rotfl:
Very impressed you are taking the patches off. I don't think I am ready for that yet as still getting the bad witch sometimes beckoning  It's really weird as the cravings come at random times. I went to an evening meeting last night with some colleagues and all day I was fine but hey ho half way through the meeting I was craving like mad. Nobody smoked and we were indoors so no idea where that came from??
Ha ha ha! Your post did make me go and jump in the shower fergie! :rotfl: I am an enternal soap dodger and am always thinking "oh I'll just have a wash and a shower tonight..." but when I read your post I jumped in the shower! Feeling good for it now as well, would have regretted it if I didn't!
Still not using anything/going cold turkey but I feel the familiar tight feeling around my eyes (being a bit spaced out and lacking concentration) and chest, but keep telling myself this is just the gasping breaths of the nicotine withdrawal and by tomorrow evening it will have passed :T lots of water, deep breaths and icepoles! and if all else fails I have some nicotine spray and a patch in my bag!
lol@ Sue no not Lady Gidiva!!! Can you imagine the horror!!!! :rotfl:actually please scrap that and don't imagine it, please save my blushes!!!!
tee hee ok I guess I shouldn't slate the man's writing ability seeing as he's not around to defend himself!
yay to stopping smoking Chris :j come on here whenever you have a craving, one of us is bound to be around and talk you out of it. You can do this, I promise! to quote every single person who has quit on this thread "If I can do it, anyone can!"
Really starting to notice my money is not flying out of my account now! :T
Anyway better get on, hope you all have a lovely day xDF as at 30/12/16

 Morning,
Confession time. I smoked a cigarette! I was v.drunk but it was my last one I promise. I'd been saying all month it was my last night out as a smoker ready for our quit date. So I don't feel to bad.
Thanks for the link to the website. I have a NHS app on my phone that does nearly the same not sure if you've heard of it. Have just changed it so my new total is now 13 hours! Onwards and upwards.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Hi Hannah eeek! maybe lay off of the nights out for a few weeks then? My advice is to be extra vigilent at the moment, as I have found ahving one so often leads to another even if it is a few days ago.
get that moisturiser out! :money:DF as at 30/12/16

I don't have another night out till my friends birthday middle of next month :j and I don't drink really other than birthdays etc so should be cool by the next night out it'll of been over a month by then. I'm actually looking forward to the weather getting cold should make it a bit easier staying in being all snug instead of outside.
Good call on the moisturiser gonna have a big shower and crack it out and smelly all good again :j xxemergency fund:£179/ £1000 Uniform/car fund:£

i know its not right, but little by little ay?
and all those who feel the need to shout at me, please feel free, i need a kick up the bum!!!0 -
Have you thought about moisturiser Chris :rotfl:
Try to keep yourself busy. I've cleaned everything about 4 times this week just to take my mind of things. Maybe go to the cinema can't smoke there and it's cheaper than a deck of cigs xxemergency fund:£179/ £1000 Uniform/car fund:£

Just wanted to offer some encouragement.
Having smoked for about 8 years I decided to quit in June last year one day, before this I had attempted to quit numerous times with little success and I always went back to it.
Its been 16 months now since I've had one, I smoked my last one from that box and never even held another one.
Some things that really helped me was supplementing smoking breaks with eating fruit, reducing how often I was around smokers, but the biggest thing for me was just wanting to quit, not because other people thought I should or whatever, just because its bad for you and makes you stink, not to mention the cost!
It is doable you just gotta find out whats best for you. I think once you reach a month it becomes pretty easy.0 -
Hit my 18 month of no ciggies on the 5th of this month, saving a fortune and i feel fitter.... a big thankyou to all the support from these threads and keep going and keep trying you will succeed:-)0

hannah, moisturiser seems like a good idea, but i think the blokes at work would have something to say if i keep rubbing moisturiser on my hands ha ha! especially being in the army!!
Anywho, ive not smoked since half 2 but im dead bored now!
only had 4/5 today, so better than i have been!0
