Oh I was doing so well then splatt fell off the wagon but I have jumped right back on!!!
I should be sitting here 4 days free but yesterday I bought 10 and smoked them all. Pretty much straight away the wheeze came back and I felt sick. 3 days does seem to be a pattern for me whenever I have stopped before I have real problems getting past 3 days.
But this time I have all of you and I will post everyday because I need to.konMarie and fabbing all the way

Hi there, Lolly. Never mind, it's done now and you've been sensible and got straight back to the job in hand!! :T Be proud, Lolly!
Ok then, so now we know the problem, stick with us daily and lets, together, get you over this and onto Day 4 and infinity and beyond!!! oooops, got quite carried away there!I suspect like a few in the past, you get all excited at having stopped, then get a slight down side a couple of days later and it all goes pear-shaped.
No more! We WILL get you there, Lolly, after all with your chest problems you can't afford to take it up again for sure. Pleurisy will be a thing of the past!! Well done for fessing up and being honest.
Onward you go again and stay focused and always bear in mind just how your chest felt after you succumbed!
Hugs, Sue xxxHit my 18 month goal the other day, still saving loads of money and patting myself on the back for stopping smoking...thanks for the help from here:-)
Very many congratulations on 18 great SMOKE-FREE months, Lippy!!!! :T:T:T:T:T So much achieved and sooo much to be immensely proud of!!!!

On the positive side... got up today feeling nice and fresh(no hangover) and headed off to nearest homebase to get paint for bathroom and a few other decorating bits and bobs. Came home with a new tv unit lol and a small storage table/unit for sitting room (still trying to get house completed since moving last August). Now sitting here looking at the 2 new pieces and thinking gee all that would have gone up in smoke before and now look at what I have got instead....OOHHH it does feel good. :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T
Excellent news that you kept our of harms way when feeling so vulnerable, cheesytwist, you really did do the right thing! At times no one can advise you on such a thing, you have to go by your gut feeling - if I doesn't feel a good idea then it probably isn't! You did yourself proud!! :T:T
I love the way you woke up and then how wonderful you made yourself feel by the actions that followed - and why not!!You deserved it all!!!!! Keep going strong cheesy, you've soooo much to be ecstatic about!!!!

Have a lovely Sunday, everyone, keep it free from smoking and the evils of nicotine!

Many apologies, Hannah!!!I just remembered you were on here earlier, and on replying to the others - I hadn't replied to you!!! A thousand apologies, well, will 999 do for now?!
Marvellous news that you've stayed true and kept such a low amount!! :T I'm not sure exactly when you have them, but how about making the 3 later in the day ie. not having one in the morning at all, but leave the 1st til later, maybe in the afternoon, then the other two in the evening. So you're going longer into the day before having one. That way you'll get much more used to not having them at 'normal' times.
Also, don't have any at the times you 'need' them or would normally have them. That way they'll be much, much easier not to miss when the 1st October comes along. At such times sip a glass of water instead or go for a walk. How about getting a hobby ready to help you? What gives you a buzz to do? If you have something you can get really exited about doing is helps soooo much as you become so focused on something else. Take a look on YTube for inspiration...knitting, crochet, carving, anything at all!!!
You're doing so very well and getting ready for a life-changing move!!! :j

Hi again:wave:
I work shifts and find my job very stressful. I have 1 when I arrive at work 1 on my break and usually make ithome and wait a couple of hours to have my next one. I'm on nights tonight and this is the first one since the cut down.
So I got up at 8 this morning and if I stick to my plan can't have 1 till 4. I've cleaned the house top to bottom, Done some washing, Had a bath, Done some gardening, Played with the kitten, moisturised my whole body top to to twice and drank about 5 glasses of water. :rotfl: But not had a fag yet :j It's been hard but to be honest I smell so good i'm not looking forward to my pre work fag as it'll make me all smelly. I have some nicoteen tablets i've been taking at work when i'd usually have a fag break. They are really helping with the cravings. Toying with the idea of taking one of these instead of smoking before work. God help my staff :rotfl:

You babble (or babber ) as much as you like, Hannah, the more folk tell us the more we're able to help, hopefully. Flippin heck! Have you been busy! Still, that's the way to stop thinking about it all. Though trust you to be the awkward one with being on shifts! :undecided `
A terrific idea with the bath & moisturising, now do the same with cleaning your teeth, the cleaner you are the less you'll be inclined to want to spoil it.
Also a good idea with the nicotettes or whichever they are as they'll help a lot whilst you free yourself from the habit; you really are working it all out well though. Keep up the water, but sip it more than downing the lot in 1 or 2 goes. How about apples and zatsumas? Anything that takes a while to prepare and to eat and don't forget Ice Poles!! A handful of almonds/walnuts etc is great to keep nibbling on and could maybe replace one of your times.
Plenty to think about. You've done a huge amount so soon so the pride within should have started already. :grinheart
I'll be thinking of you......and your staff!!!!
