mmmmmm what is that smell that brought me here? I was like the bisto kids, a smell wafted into my office and I followed it and found myself here! :rotfl:
What did you go for bess?
I actually have to say my skin is looking amazing. Now it isn't all down to smoking as I have for the last couple of weeks been following the Oil Cleansing Method and there was a real improvement. However this morning I noticed even more my skin looks healthy, poors reduced, lovely colour and I think my wrinkles aren't so apparent :T clearly sleeping 12+ hours a day, deep cleansing and not choking my skin are having a huge impact! :jDF as at 30/12/16

hello all,
im quite new to the site, and have been looking around at all sorts of money saving ideas, etc etc!
Anyway, this month i am totally unable to afford ciggies, and also i had a game of football at today, and my chest felt like it was going to explode.
Anyway i had the lightbulb moment, then got back to my room, and light up a fag! how ridiculous this sounds i know!!
Anyway, i have 5 ciggies sitting on the side which i plan to smoke tonight and then, start a new healthier life as of tomorrow! Plus being in the army, i think i need to stop and get fitter :S
Anyway, i shall be on here every night for support and in the day time if i can!!
Congratulations to all those who have quit for so long, absolute god sends in my eyes!
Any help would also be greatly appreciated!
cant wait to hear from you!
Chris

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this thread. I didn't know it existed until i saw a link on another thread. It's been really good to read all your stories and how well you are all doing. I've been smoke free for 7 weeks, yesterday.:j.
I was wondering if any of yous have any advice.....I have tried to keep away from all social situations which I associate with smoking. e.g going to the bar with friends as they are smokers and tend to spend alot of time outside in the smoking area. I think it is psychological. Does anyone else feel this way? Also my partner is one of those "social smokers" aswell, it's so frustrating that he can just go off them through the week and smoke at weekends lol.
Thanks for reading x0 -

hi amanda and welcome
7 weeks is fantastic you are doing so well
think yourself the lucky one that you no longer "dip in " at social occasions and can be in control 24/7 , is it really choice to have the odd one ?? I'd say its old nic with a hold whatever way you look at it
Re avoiding social occasions i would say after 7 weeeks you would be seeing so many possitives , healthier , more money in your pocket , feeling free from the chains old nic had on you , better skin , smelling fine , better teeth, fresh breath, more time to do what YOU want to do , not have to carry fag baggage about , not have to worry where or when you can have your fix, not have to stand out in the rain to feed your habbit .......
am sure theres loads more you can come up with
YOU are in control , you can stay focused on all the possitives and be confident you wont give in to a "just have one " and if your friends are true they would support you and be proud of you too for stopping
if in serious doubt you may give in try a low dose patch , but I am sure you will be fine
Get back out there and stnad proud for being a none smoker :T:T:T:T
