Hey there, sorry this is simply not acceptable ...... joking or not ........ I would not accept my Oh texting another woman in this manner ....... in my opinion its disrespectful of your intimate relationship ...... if he is sharing intimate thoughts as this with another woman .......... this is just how I am ......... but we are women and our instincts usually sceam at us when something is not right !!

We know our partners intimately especially if we live together and when things change up ........ we always seem to know ........ and sadly in most cases we are usually right ....... xx

You might be able to puncture his amusement at your bewilderment and upset by pointing out that it only needs one woman at work to make even a mild complaint against him hinting at sexual harassment for him to be out of a job and out on his ear.

I wonder if he'd find it all so funny then?

He's an immature and unpleasant sexual chancer. What do you get out of the relationship other than frequent trips to the STD clinic every time he gets defensive of his phone?

I would clarify, it wasn't a sexual comment towards her. It was him telling her he had a mysterious...well..you guys know! a random.

    How old is he? 15?

That sort of message is totally out of line for the workplace and could get him into bother. It's also totally out of line for anyone in a committed relationship.

I would introduce him to the door.

    Oh, don't be silly!

What guy do you know who sends you messages about the state of his penis? Random ..?!

What on earth makes you think that a normal man sends random messages about random parts of his sexual apparatus to random women?
  • I've questioned how he interacts with females at work before. He laughs at me tells me not to be stupid as she is much older than him

I think it was the erection that was random not the message or the sender or the recipient.;)

I've never worked anywhere that this sort of banter would be considered appropriate tbh, but I know some workplaces are different. I think the deeply personal info in the text (), plus him being so secretive about his phone and emails would suggest he wasn't entirely trustworthy. Not a keeper in my opinion.

Failing to understand why you class that as a non-sexual comment to be honest. A text about the state of your genitals that isn't to your doctor usually is sexual.

Regarding the second comment I have put in bold: do you mean that you have raised concerns about him and this woman before? The fact she is older is irrelevant. I would also be alarmed that rather than saying 'I wouldn't do that' what he is effectively saying is 'I wouldn't do that with her'.

If I found a text like this on DH's phone, I would hit the roof.

Well, forgive me if sex, gender, human physiology and body part names have changed since I was a young woman but if that isn't a sexual comment, I don't know what is!

If times have really changed so much and such things are part of a normal person's non-intimate conversation, can I expect the Tesco delivery man to let me know of his recent wet dreams? Will you be telling the lady in the baker's shop of your partner's particular fantasy? Will you partner chattily tell his Nan that you're a spoilsport because you don't enjoy anal sex? :rotfl:
