I have just listed a few books today and have sold three already :T

I don't have any jiffy bags so I have wrapped them in brown paper and put the packing slip inside the book..I have done a quick search but it seems most people use jiffy bags to post. Do you think brown paper will be secure enough or should I invest in some jiffy bags from Ebay?

    Thanks!

Hi Claudie, if you post in brown paper they could get damaged and that wouldnt do your reputation as a seller any good at all, they can get some rough handling in the post. Even if you put some cardboard stiffeners in to protect the cover would help, but wouldnt trust just brown paper

I think I guessed as much.

If I were to buy Jiffy Bags from EBay is there a "better" size for standard paperbacks and hardcovers? I have a mix of both but a quick look at EBay has left me more confused that before!

    Thanks.

I've been tidying my book 'shed' a bit, fighting off the spiders as big as dinner plates and trying to find some books for ebay to try and get my stock turning over.

Came into the house with a pile of books, sat at the PC chair and got bitten by something on the back of my thigh...it really hurts :(

I've no idea what it was, but I appear to have two pin size holes in my leg and it has swollen up and now it's numb. I only came on here for some sympathy as I rushed to get OH to show him the marks on my leg and he's more worried I might let the roast burn , grrr.

I have no idea what bit or stung me, as there is nothing dead by the chair and I did strip of my skirt to shake it (DH thought that was very funny) to see if anything fell out, but found nothing.

    Gone off book selling.....
OUCH! does anyone have a book for sale about things that bite you in sheds for soolin:rotfl: only joking ,hope it clears up soon, can itch like the blazes these things

    Hi Claudie

You can get by with D1's for paperbacks and G4's for larger paperbacks and hardbacks.

thanks teedy...its not the number of books that makes it funny its the fact that i will make just 31p plus a few pence from the postage!!!!

why do my £20 or even £1 books never sell

although i must admit that after reading this thread no longer list for less than 35p unless its a mills and boon even if there are a million and one 1p versions listed
