technically speaking it's not out of print as newer editions are readily available. As the newer editions are available for £3.70 & £4 it's unlikely anyone wanting a copy would be willing to pay more, unless they specifically wanted the hardback edition. So if you are happy to wait for a buyer pricing a couple of quid higher may be ok.
Though when setting the price, make sure you work out how much it is going to cost to post and how much you will get after amazon fees to ensure you are left with some profit!Do You Twitter?

The trouble is a lot of different things go into this account and I'd like to keep sales emails seperate - however I think if I change the email I use for amazon it'll send emails for things I've bought there too.
Is that right? Wish I'd set up a seperate selling account when I started.
Thanks
Also, for those tempted to set up a seperate selling account to a buying account, it isn't that simple to do on amazon, and if 2 accounts are linked to you it can lead to the suspension of your seller account!Do You Twitter?

Hi everyone. Whats the least you will list a book for? I have just sold one for 32p!!! (cant even remember listing it). The total to me is £1.66 but I have to pay postage out of that. The book isn't light so i am guessing £1.20 to post (large letter) so all i have made is 46p. Now I know this is better than nothing but would you bother for that?

A lot depends I think on whether you have proof of posting - if you do then all is well - you have given a refund and Amazon will sort it out and you can claim money back from PO . I think the PO don't accept post as missing until 15 days though. You might like to try asking her to check at her local sorting office to make sure it isnt sitting waiting for her to collect it, though normally do this before giving refund.
Whatever happens it's a good idea to leave her feedback aolong the lines of "patient while delivery problems were sorted out " or something - it alerts other sellers to claims of non arrival - and if she is claiming that 2 havent arrived this might raise a few red warning flags.
Thanks - she bought the book on 2 Feb so has left it rather late to query really. I only wait 14 days before I chase up!
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Also, do you bother listing your 1p books on greenmet? I have listed some but I have absolutely nothing at all from them. I don't know whether to just bag them up and take them to the charity shop. What do you guys think?
Thanks again.Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance....0 -

46p is well worth the bother if you don't have to walk 3 miles in a snowdrift and then wait 30 minutes at the post office - I'd be happy with it because I have to go to the PO every day but others might find that it's not worth it. Your other point about 1p books, I'd put the prices up to at least 50p because it's been shown over and over that a lot of buyers don't trust 1p sales and hurry past to the ones that are more expensive.
Green Met will produce sales but you have to wait till they get to the top of the list and then they will be shown to the buyer0 -
I've just made my first sale on Amazon MarketPlace, and I have a postage question?
Do I have to send 1st class? Is that 1st class recorded? OR should I post 2nd Class or 2nd Class Recorded?
Thanks for any help!!!!0 -

i bought 4 books via amazon marketplace sellers 10 days ago on 3rd april, 3 of which were received over a week ago, last thursday before easter weekend but 1 has not yet turned up.
i emailed the seller on tuesday morning 10th april, i received a reply late evening 11th april
"Good evening,
Thank you for your email. I will look into this for you tomorrow
morning. Sorry about the late hour of reply but am ploughing through the
emails from the Bank Holiday!"
it is now over 24 hours since she was supposed to look in to this but no reply and still no book
how long should i wait before i notify amazon?
they have 98% and over 1000 feedback, with this recent negative "i haven't recieved anything yet.... ordered over 2 weeks ago."
