Yesterday a friend gave me a little bouquet of pinks and lavender and a handful of blueberries from her garden. Lovely!

Lovely neighbour next door gave me some sweet paprika, my mortar and pestle back and a white porcelain bread bin I gave him about ten years ago :D

During the week I gave him some garlic, as the garlic bread he thought he's bought turned out to be a sweet bread with lemon curd :D:D:D

Also gave the OH's sister our video recorder during the week.

Gave upstairs neighbour some Chinese stir fry sauces. He also contributed a large mirror which I have yet to sand down and stain for our communal seating area in the garden.

Downstairs neighbour is insisting on taking me to and from an appointment at the hospital tomorrow. (Getting toenails removed)

Last week a neighbour threw out a lovely old dresser type chest of drawers - the mirror was missing but it was too nice to pass by.

Anyway I knocked on the door and asked if I could have it and got another neighbour to help me get it down the road.

Then the gentleman came out with the mirror for me!

(one of just a couple of neighbours that I don't know)

Anyway it is now stuffed with paper as the down side is it smells of moth balls - yuk!

Also my friend is giving me a lovely old metal bedstead which I shall use to make a day bed in the back room.

  • Friday I was given a box of chocs by a parent for taking her child to a dance rehearsal. I shared them with the kids on the way there - save my hips!

I gave away a flowering currant and pyracantha on Freecycle as I reluctantly dug them up to change to a more relaxed planting.

So glad someone took them as I felt like an evil plant murderer - hopefully they will take!
Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,

Went to see my parents yesterday and came home with loads of rhubarb.:D

Passed on some books that I had finished with to a friend and in return was given 4 empty beer bottles for my daughter to make into a musical instrument.
